I have been really slowing up on DVD/BD purchases but I couldn't say "No" to Mad Men BD for 9.99. Grabbed 1,2 and 3.

Funny enough Amazon added The Tudors from this morning, Modern Family, and Entourage back to the calendar even though the deals had already occurred or are going on right now. Strange.

I hope it's good. I just blind bought it. Haven't done that for a while, but for that price, I took a chance.

Knight Rider Series for $40 seems like a good deal.

If you can still get in the Superbad lightning deal, use coupon code "GRHORNET" to make it free!

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

Does anyone know if the Futurama volumes 1-4 that Amazon has for $8.99 each are in slim packaging? If so, I will probably re-buy all of them.

Apparently this deal is dead. I just went to buy a Wii and they are no longer offering the $50 promotional credit.

It is a tie between "Mad Men" and "The Wire" as my all time favorite shows.

Just picked up "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" BD for $5 each. Looks like the are matching Walmart on many prices.

I got each season for slightly more than that (before it was packaged like that) at a Black Friday deal.

I don't know if you've watched it lately, but it REALLY doesn't hold up well at all. I keep it around for nostalgia's sake, but it's really not as awesome as I remembered from growing up.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

It will probably be gone by the time you see this but the new 7-DVD Frank Sinatra Concert Collection was on a lightning deal but not on the schedule. Only 40% off so I skipped it even though the set looks pretty cool.

It's even cheaper at B&N- $41.99 - 30% coupon = $29.40!

Nope! Or at least not for the 1st one. I had the same idea and I orderd all four sets. So far, only the first one has arrived and it's in the same old bulky package. I tried to cancel the others but 2 & 4 were already in shipping mode so we'll see if they are any different. FoxConnect.com does have the slim cases for $12 each though and I think that the coupons might work on top of that.

Any idea what a good price would be on this when it goes on lightning deal? Under $70?

Wow, thanks for the info on the Sinatra set at B&N w/coupon. Even with tax it ended up at $31.74.

Just discovered that you can get the Ashes of Time Redux DVD for $5.99 plus you get free standard shipping for some reason.
