Saw very little quality this time.
Notable was "Cemetary Junction" from Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant
Found one Blu ray: Adventures of a Teenage Dragonslayer

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

I went to two Dollar Trees today. The first one was fully stocked, and even had 4 shipping boxes full of dvds under the bin. The 2nd was completely wiped out. They're only about 2 miles apart too. Weird.

This is what I picked up.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

I went to four Dollar Trees. Three of them had the movies out in the front - great for my aching back but bad for finding Blus - and one had them in Electronics/Automotive/wherever on a bottom shelf, but that was mostly picked over.

I spotted only two Blus, and only at one location. They are most likely overstock from the last sale or two, but you never know.

- Space Warriors
- The Watsons Go to Birmingham

It seems whatever Blus Dollar Tree put out for this deal were in very limited quantity and YMMV. This thread has had almost no Blu sightings, and I don't think anyone has spotted the same Blu twice. Then again, it could be because this is in the DVD Deals section and Blu-only buyers aren't seeing it? Who knows...

Anyway, I saw plenty of DVDs:

- 2 Days in Paris
- 2001: A Space Travesty
- Autumn Blood
- Breakfast on Pluto
- The Chameleon
- Cold Souls
- Country Remedy
- Elegy
- Family Weekend
- A Heavenly Vintage
- Love's Kitchen
- Lullaby
- Mercy Rule
- Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Treasure
- Reign Over Me (widescreen, which is rarer in this deal – most are "fullscreen")
- Super Mario Bros. 3: Koopas Rock
- Super Mario Bros. Super Show: Mario's Adventures Out West
- Super Mario Bros. Super Show: Off the Map
- Super Mario Bros. Super Show: Showdown in Brooklyn
- Terri
- What Doesn't Kill You

BTW, I asked the guy at the first Dollar Tree how long the sale has been going on and if I was the only one who bought anything (because the table was pretty full). He said a week and they've been selling every day. So, I don't know if this store got a lot and keeps putting out more? That was the one with the two Blus from previous sales. I suspect if they got any other Blus, they're long gone now.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

The usual location I visit for DVDs didn't have anything on Sunday, though this location is fairly sleepy about putting out new merchandise.

Why do some Dollar Tree stores never seem to get DVDs? There are two or three within a hour's drive that I've never found anything in but a few scraps over the past five years.

I went to one Dollar Tree today that usually has a crappy selection and they had a good selection for some reason. I found another copy of Adventures of a teenage Dragonslayer on Blu ray. I could use the nice case for one of my movies missing one.
Found more DVD mentioned above and also 1 copy of Aloha Scooby Doo which is a full length movie.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

My Dollar Tree had a small selection near the checkout line (about 15 DVDs left).
The only one I purchased was the 21 Jump Street season one set from Millcreek. Wish they would get more season sets.
They also had 2 copies of the Jeff Corwin Experience (a 3-disc set), a couple exercise DVDs (these were 4-disc sets), and a few other titles I can't remember.

I think that they pretty much all get them, but sometimes these guys that sell them on ebay horde them and clean them out as soon as they see them

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

My Dollar Tree hardly has any DVDs. The only thing of interest was 21 Jump Street 1st season. Other than that, it was mostly stuff I've never heard of. Oh yeah, they did have some "Ernest goes to ...." but I think I'll pass on those.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

Mine restocked their DVD section (first time in months). They had already been picked through but I found some OK stuff. I picked up the 21 Jump street set plus 3 movies that are eligible for Disc to Digital on Vudu. Terri, 2 Days in Paris and Boyntan Beach Club. They also had a Leslie Nielsen movie I had never heard of. 2001 a Space Travesty, but I passed on it. Didn't look to great from reading the back of the DVD.

So I go to one DT and they moved all the dvds to under the hardware section...
They have a huge stockpile but it's all the same ol' stuff...

That is an incredible find. Scarecrows is actually a really cool, underrated horror movie from the 1980s. It recently came out on Blu-ray in a nice edition from Scream Factory:
