Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains
Might be a silly question, but is there anyway to get 2 of the Lightening Deals. it would only let me add 1 to the cart and when I called I was told 1.
Does it say limit 1 per account anywhere?

Picked up Wolverine Blu-Ray and signed up for Prime. Also picked up Quantum of Solace for $9.99. It wasn't a lightning deal or whatever we are calling this, but lowest price I've seen forever.
I wish there was more Blu on the upcoming deals, but I'll keep an eye on my Blu-Ray wishlist to see if anything else comes down.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains
Just got off the phone with Amazon and since I paid for shipping on Wolverine I decided to call up and add the HANGOVER on Blu-ray too my order. They waived the shipping since the total came to $25.97 so for $13.01 more I got a copy of the Hangover. GREAT DEAL.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains
I put Wolverine in my cart earlier today along with a few $9 Fox BDs figuring I'd just refresh the basket, get the "An item has changed in price alert" and check out. Well, I hit it and nothing, so I went to the LD page and added it from there and then had two copies in my cart at $19.99. WTF? Deleted them both and then tried to readd them, but got the message I had claimed it.
Uh-oh.
Panic rising, I logged out and back in and it still showed that I'd claimed the thing and if I went to the BF page it took me to the item page and that page said there was a LD for it and would take me to the BF page which would...rinse, repeat.
Ack!
So, on a hunch, I chose the option where it said "Some people also bought X3" and punched the button to add BOTH to the cart. Go to the cart page, toss X3, and it still read $19.99. I'm getting really antsy until I looked on the right side with the actual tally and it showed "-$10.00 - Lightning Deal" and the correct total. Checked out and it's all good.
They should really change the price in the cart to prevent panic situations.

I think it was determined earlier that these deals are limited to 1 per person. Now it may be possible someone bought one as a gift or something and would make it available..

I did some Christmas shopping and ordered 2 of the Blazing Saddles earlier and 3 Looney Tunes recently and all came out with the advertised price.

Everyone should read this, so you don't screw up your Lightning Deal:

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains
From my reading of the Lightening Deal Overview page, I get the impression it is risky to not make the claim straight away. As I read it, it inferred the item may have sold out if you leave your final transaction too late. I assume they will oversubscribe each item somewhat to factor in a perentage of people will change their mind and not follow through.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains
Amazon seems to be price matching Target's $44 price on the 360 "Left 4 Dead 2" finally. I have to wonder if it'll go down to $39.99 to match K-Mart's Black Friday price, though...

Hadn't tried it myself. Only based my comment on the remarks in this thread by several posters who couldn't order more than 1 copy of a particular title.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains
When they say "lightning deals," they're not kidding. My Looney Tunes set, ordered with Prime shipping last night, right after the deal started, is out for delivery today (along with two other packages of DVDs I ordered over the weekend).
Nice going, amazon...overnight delivery for the price of Prime two-day.

EDIT: Working now (10:13 A.M.) Don't see 101 Dalmatians; I guess that sold out early on. I guess it's fair to assume all the Disney titles available today will probably go pretty fast. Jump on early if you want Wall-E or The Jungle Book.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains
So I added the Marine to my cart from the lightning deals page and it says that I have claimed it, but it is not in my cart. Any suggestion on what to do?
