I got 5,6,7 & 8. 8 is scheduled delivery after 12/25. 5, 6 & 7 are scheduled to be delivered on 11/27.

Well, it's kinda too late. Hahaha. Well, I really wasn't planning on buying one in the first place so that's OK. They're all about gone now.

My Smallville S8 set has a ship date of 12/28, which is fine by me. I'd love to have one less thing I have to pay for before Christmas, but I'm betting they will get these out much sooner than the estimate. Cheapest I've ever seen SV new (to think I paid $40+ for the first season, which somehow seemed acceptable 6 years ago )

This was the only "must have" deal for me. I picked up Young Frankenstein for $2 to get the free shipping. I'd been looking for the remastered version at my local pawn shop, so getting a new copy that cheap was a no-brainer.

The ones that have the least Lana. (can't say which to avoid spoilers though)

So, I waited all day, pissed that it was 4pm PST! (I am in MD!) so, grandkids came over, and just left. I walked out and it had started at 7pm! LOL! I quickly jumped in, and most all sets had 92% claimed! I panicked! I added 4, 7, and 8! I just got some of them in time, as 4,2,and 7 are at 100%! And I don't even see 8 any longer showing in the window! Holy Crap! It was like the end of a Movie! But I did it!

Wow...Anyway, how is The Reader? It's on sale for $11.99 on BD and Winslet won an Oscar for her role in that film. Is it any good?

4 to 6 weeks is a rather long time for such a current & popular DVD item. All other seasons are instock but season 8 is mysteriously not.
Maybe they say that to discourage people for reasons that at the moment escape me.

It's bloody awful. The reason they're going to have 10 Best Picture nominees this year for the Oscars is because Harvey Weinstein gamed the nomination process to get The Reader nominated last year over better fare like The Dark Knight. Winslett's Oscar was more a career achievement trophy than a sign she was extra-great in The Reader. Rent it if you must; save the $12.

I only own Smallville S4 (from Big Lots) and S7 Blu (also from Big Lots), so I bought almost all of them. I have been passing on Smallville for the last two BF and thought this was the time to catch up.

I have prime but I chose "standard shipping" to space out my purchases a bit. Too much money too soon.

I'd pass. It's worth a rent, but $12 is a bit high. It's a decent movie, and Winslet is good but it's far from her best.

I personally think the film is very good. Everyone talks about Winslet, but it's Ralph Fiennes' character that sticks with me. (Of course, he only plays him in the older years.) He had an amazing year last year with this, "In Bruges" and "The Duchess".

Perhaps if Ralphie showed as much skin as Katie did in this one, people would remember his performance more.

I'm with you, though. Fiennes' role is the one I clicked with here. The movie is told from the boy's/man's perspective, and it is his story I remember.

Winslet's always naked. She could do a Disney cartoon and she'd find a way to get naked in it.

Seems like it will be an all day deal either Thursday or Friday according to the Amazon preview.
