What do you mean by "jetsons complete"? I thought there were only 2 seasons, and they are sold separately. is there really a complete series (both seasons) box set out?

I think that people who work at Family Dollar and Big Lots must really hate their lives.
Wouldn't you?

Exactly the kind of encouragement I probably shouldn't get!

I'll make a stop and report back later tonight. If I see any Appleseed I can either pick it up or stow it somewhere.

I don't really need it because I already own the Blu-ray. However, for $3, I was still going to get it just for the steelcase. If you do scrounge one up, hide it behind the computer games on the bottom rack. Thanks.

I think it's been floated that BL is having another advertised sale, like the one for TV sets - ER, etc., and that many stores are holding onto the stock until that ad hits (leading to another frenzied dash to BL ).

There were actually three seasons of the show. One in the 60s, then two more in the 80s. All that's on DVD is the 60s season (Season One) and part of the first season from the 80s (Season Two, Volume One).

Re: Big Lots Part 5

These sets have FINALLY hit the Mass. stores , just went down to my local BL and here is what I bought:

Tales From The Crypt seasons 1-6
Superman - Theatrical serials collection
Wacky Races
Top Cat -complete series
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Academy Awards Animation Collection - 15 Winners, 26 Nominees
The Flintstones -second season
Popeye the sailor Vol. 1

12 box sets for a grand total with tax of $37.80 !!!!!!! yea!

Problem is most everything was wiped out except Popeye they had like 20 of these.
There was a guy with me and he had well over $100 worth of stuff ,he even said so himself. The weird thing is when I was leaving he was standing at the checkout counter with a HUGE pile of these boxes.
Then he said I just can't pass up a good deal and he admitted to buying multiple stuff .....got this weird feeling he is reselling this stuff......i dunno....
but between him and I almost all the Tales From The Crypt is gone and he wiped out most of the Flintstones.
They had The Flintstones season 2-5 ...season 4 & 5 were not sealed/unwrapped.

Re: Big Lots Part 5

I took a chance and visited the north Huntsville store during lunch and found Josie and the Pussycats and The Flintstones S2 (unwrapped but in great condition) & S3.

I also got a second Penelope Pitstop which I've listed down in the exchange thread.

Re: Big Lots Part 5

JACKPOT IN ELYRIA OHIO BIG LOTS TODAY!!!

I was just in yesterday and they had none but today I scored:

Adventures of Superman 1-4

2 Looney tunes box sets for 10$ each vol.1-5 (4 were there!!)

Tales from the crypt 2,3,4,5

Jonny quest

Popeye vol. 1

Flintstones 1-5

HUckleberry hound

And BAtman the animated series set 1 and 4

SO THE GOOD news is here in OHIO they are still putting these things out as I speak. Lorain Ohio had TONS of everything freshly put out this morning as well but no box sets. Elyria probably had 20 of the 10$ ROOTS box sets.

Sweet

Re: Big Lots Part 5

Ugh. It sucks that these great sets and prices have to come from Big Lots. I was just in there (bought two of the $10 Looney Toons sets, and Popeye) and I ended up getting stuck in the checkout behind some white trash family who spent roughly 15 minutes arguing with the clerk, and 2 managers that they actually had $55 in their checking account.

Re: Big Lots Part 5

I finally checked my local Big Lots out but it was pretty wiped out. I only picked up Batman TAS Volume 2. The only other sets I saw were West Wing, OC, Super Friends, Josie & The Pussycats and the Flintstones.

it's right on the Brockton line.

It will be interesting if they restock this stuff, cause honestly it was flying off the racks i doubt that
by the end of tomorrow much of it will remain. Maybe The Popeye stuff which is funny cause thats what I was really looking for.

Re: Big Lots Part 5

Picked up a few sets in Toledo today.

Alexis Road-

Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm (they had 3-4)
Wacky Races (they had maybe a dozen)
Dasterdly and Muttley in their Flying Machines (5 or 6)

They also had about 10 copies of Popeye V1 (all sealed)
Some Flintstones seasons (only S5 not wrapped)
Top Cat
Appleseed steelbook

Miracle Mile-

Kubrick Collection (only 1)
Space Ghost and Dino Boy (2 or 3)
Murphy Brown S1 (8-10)

They also had about 15 Roots Collections
A few Josie and the Pussycats
Some Lois and Clark and Tales from the Crypt 1-5

A very nice lady working there told me they got only 2 copies of the Looney Tunes Boxes, both snarfed by the same guy, about one hour after I visited yesterday!

Hopefully before the weekend they'll get more...

Re: Big Lots Part 5

I asked the cashier at my BL if she saw The Looney Tunes box and she just pointed to the Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Academy Awards Animation Collection - 15 Winners, 26 Nominees....so i am guessing it never showed up.

Maybe this Wednesday when the truck gets in?
