Thanks for letting me know this....I'm gonna see if my store can send your store some Joey S1 overstock to clear room here for other sets!

Popeye - 1933-1938 (There were TONS of these)
Jonny Quest - Season 1 (Only one I spotted)

They also had TONS of Flintstones S1, S2 and S3 (might go back for these) along with a good assortment of Lois and Clark sets. Also spotted two Veronica Mars S2 and Top Cat. I think that is all. Also a lone copy of Joey S1 leftover on the bottom shelve. Poor Joey.
So there is hope for the rest of New England! My store said they'll get a new shipment on Thursday so I'll be there first thing in the morning.

I sure hope so! I was pleasantly surprised to see the great selection they had. Still no $10 sets though.

You know, I haven't seen one $10 set anywhere. The manager I asked today didn't even know about $10 DVD sets they sold. She thought it was just the $3 and $6.

Does anyone have a pic of the Looney Tunes set they could post?

I haven't seen any $10 sets either. When I asked the BL employees about them, they just looked at me funny.

Yeah, the BL employees act very weird, very defensive, when you ask them a question about anything at all. It's the same at each and every store. I wonder what's up with that.

Re: Big Lots Part 5

Yes, there is hope for New England. I am playing Mr. Mom for a couple of days, so I will not be able to troll all the big lots, but I managed to get out to Nashua, NH.

They had Tracey takes on S1, I think

ton of flintstones 3
ton of popeyes

top cats
wacky racers
lois and clark 1,2,3,4
Murphy Brown S1
Adventures of Superman s1
Adventures of Superman combined s5 and s6 (1 box)
Superman Serials
Tales from the crypt s2,3,5
one copy of veronica mars s2, I think. Had it in my hands but left her behind.

I took the only Jonni Quest

Also, there is a Kevin Smith Unleashed in the $3 stuff.

No $10 box sets or looney tunes, no modern animated superman and batman
no birdman or space ghost either
no blue ray

good luck. I will see you out there if I can get away, leave some $10 sets for me.

Re: Big Lots Part 5

Went to my local Big Lots which usually results in nothing and they only had the Popeye set out of the new stuff that has been posted. I had to pass on this and just hope that by the end of the week they have the rest of the stock.

Someone said something about these being in the ad next week... I wonder if there may be a more abundance of the LT sets then?

The Watson Road Store had the first 3 seasons of THE FLINTSTONES @$3 each, so they must have had more HB sets at one time.

I went to three Big Lots today and didn't see any of the $3 or $10 sets, and very few of the $6 sets. I want those Hanna Barbera cartoons bad!

Re: Big Lots Part 5

What's the deal with some of the Flintstones sets not being sealed? I just recently started to go to Big Lots, so I don't know if that is a trend or not, but none of the other tv shows I saw were like that.

Re: Big Lots Part 5

I can't help but wonder how much gas people are burning to go to numerous Big Lots stores repeatedly. If I have to go to that kind of trouble and expense with no real promise of finding anything, which seems to be the norm, I would rather just fork out the cash and buy it elsewhere. Besides, with all the resellers snatching these things up and selling them, the prices will drop like a rock in no time at all.

Good things come to those who wait.

I've only seen sets of Flintstones S4 and S5 like that. I also came across of SupeFriends Vol. 2 today that was open and pretty damaged.
