Essex Jct, Vermont: The OC S2, West Wing S2, Nip Tuck S4, Lakers collection, Dukes of Hazzard S5 and S6, The Roots, Nightcourt S1

Too bad. Not that many selections. I was hoping for the other ones.

Westminster, MD location had nothing that wasn't mentioned and only selected tv sets (Dukes of Hazzard, Night Court, Pinky..., Animaniacs). None of the $10 sets

So if you aren't planning to watch the sets pretty quickly, be sure to open and inspect them while there's still time to return/exchange any problematic ones.
ER 4, 6 and 8 have been reported in this now ridiculously long thread...

I traded a Smallville and will be shipping it on Friday for ER S6, so yeah, they are rare but there.

In the case of Roots, no point, they are all scratched to hell... Read Amazon.

Thanks for the Danville report! Most of the ones that you mentioned as not available here in Lexington were available last night. You have a PM coming btw...

I highly recommend the popeye set. they did a very good job on the restorations. toss out your old public domain sets and pick this up if you can find it.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

I checked back earlier tonight, only noticed a few new $3 titles and some crappy Nickelodeon DVDs. I grabbed: Swimming With Sharks ($2), The Big Empty ($2), The Comancheros ($3) and Criminal ($3). Not bad.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

All of these super-cheap DVDs make me almost want to never pay more than $3 for a DVD or any TV season again. It seems almost everything I buy goes on sale cheaper at Big Lots eventually. The only trick is finding the stuff because it's so random which store gets what when.

I'd be happy to trade a Wonder Woman Complete for the Looney Tunes set.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

A post a while ago mentioned that FYE was now offering $3 for most of the Warner Bros. boxed sets that it had previously been offering $10-$30 for. Has anyone else confirmed if this is true?

Pinky and the Brain Volume 2 was going for $9 plus 20% extra for the brown bag promotion yesterday. My brother tried to trade a copy in tonight and it came up at only $3.

Does anyone have a pic or link to what this Lakers set looks like? I am a HUGE SPORTS fan and would like to know what I am looking for. Any help is much appreciated.

Also is Nip Tuck S 4 Standard DVD or BLu-Ray that Big Lots got in?

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Also forgot to ask is anyone on the EAST COAST finding the Lakers sets or is that a WEST COAST THING?

Chop2Chip10...................thank you so much for the offer. I did just start my Big Lots hunt today so can I let you know. I hope to find it by me but if not I will let you know and send you some money for your time.

So I am guessing this is a regualr deal Big Lots has and not a sale that ends on Saturday

Any confirmation?

There have been reported sightings of both. The Derby, CT location only had the SD version(multiple copies).

Thanks for that (sad) confirmation. Even if FYE got flooded with those WB sets, $3 is a ridiculously low price for many of them. It sounds like somebody at corporate found out and decided to punish all those looking to turn a little profit by knocking all of the WB sets down to $3 each. Quite an overreaction, IMHO!

I remember how FYE employees used to tell me their rule of thumb was that they turn around and sell DVDs for about 4x what they paid, so $3 would mean we should be seeing these WB sets all sell for $12 used at FYE, right...? Dream on... FYE will probably still price them for the same ridiculous amounts as always.

I was in the local store (Atlanta,Ga) earlier today and someone was trading in some sets listed here. I don't remember all of them but he had Roots, Wonder Woman complete series and History of rock n roll. He had some others but I wasn't looking that well. Anyways, FYE was offering 3 dollars for these titles. The guy was having a fit lol, he thought he was going to get A LOT more than that! It was funny, because they guy kept asking "Please scan it again, that can't be right!".

So I don't know if FYE's trade value has dropped because of massive trades of these titles, or if someone at FYE got wise and told the higher ups. I did notice this store had 2 used copies of Roots for 35 bucks!
I love it! kudos to fye! let all the hording profitteers that had big dollar signs in thier eyes get stuck with thier purchases. let them go buy them at best buy for 6 bucks then fye offer them 3 for them. flood them on ebay and watch them drop down to 4 or 5 bucks each on there

No offense dude...................but people are allowed to be able to make a few dollars on stuff. With the way the economy is there is nothing wrong with that. If you don't believe in doing that, that is your business, but that is pretty F#*&ed UP that people that spent time buying these items in the hopes of making money (in some cases less than $6 profit) and driving to different stores don't make anything.

You seriously need to realize what KARMA is. What goes around comes around.

Just my 2 CENTS.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

It's MORE F#*&ed UP that people are spending time looking for these items to KEEP and ENJOY, but they can't get them because some dipshits bought them all just to resell for more than what they paid for them!

I say losing money is great KARMA for those people.

As far as those of us who have been unable to find anything thanks to the profiteers grabbing everything are concerned - this is KARMA!

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Yeah, honestly Manzana, shut the hell up and stop bitching...
"Ohs noes i hate my job soo much and i cant even have time to flip my dvds!"

Firstly, every one of us has a job the we hate. And all of our jobs prevent us from doing shit we like. Thats life. Get over it.
Secondly, You complain you don't have time to go to FYE and flip your extra DVD sets, which is a disgusting thing to do to begin with. Thats fuckin awesome FYE is giving the middle finger to little dirty flipping scumbag hoarders. IMHO, they should be beaten to death.
Thirdly, that fact that you found sets like WW Complete and Blu-rays are amazing. That puts you WAY ahead of most posters on this thread. Personally, out of literally over 40 sets I want from this thread, I found 3.

Seriously, so much shit is wrong in your 3 posts of constant whining. You are sad that have a job (which is a privelage BTW), you are sad you can't flip DVDs (which is a disgrace BTW), and all the while you should be jumping for joy that you are employed and found GREAT deals at Big Lots.
