On most occasions, BL will put a blank sticker over the back UPC - yes. And their own sticker on the front with their own "UPC" & price. However, what I saw on part of the last batch was the the UPC had a very "generic" UPC on the back - under the shrink-wrap AND under the keep-case plastic. It was basically on the art work UPC itself.

The few I saw of those all were put out by a single distirbuter, so they may have been the ones screwing with the UPC. "Key DVD" if I recall.

Although I did buy a DVD once which looked officially shrinkwrapped which had the Big Lots front-cover sticker under the keepcase plastic and on the cover itself! I didn't notice until I got home or I would have bought a different copy.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

I went into the store I call #2 (second closest to my house...) Nothing new, I think it's been around a month since they got ANYTHING. It may be because they're sitting on hundreds of mediocre titles from a couple months back.

I haven't seen these listed, but I don't follow very closely. I got:

Hallelujah (King Vidor)
Wife Vs Secretary
The Philadelphia Story 2D
Annie Oakley
Humoresque
Each Dawn I Die
The Right Stuff 2D
Harum Scarum

I'm really digging all the classic WB stuff.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

I went in today but everything was in the process of being moved. The metal rack was being moved to a new location and the huge cardboard boxes display was either being moved or taken out. I did see a new shipment of dvds about to be stocked for tomorrow.
I found these peeping out the boxes Kansas, some 007 dvds, City Slickers, and D Day. Looks like stuff that had all been posted. Will return tomorrow and report what I see.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Picked up yesterday:

Bugsy Extended Cut 2 Disc Set
Brick
Josie and the Pussycats (Widescreen PG-13 version)

Is the Widescreen/Fullscreen flipper of Jawbreaker out of print? I saw the fullscreen only version at Big Lots yesterday and thought about picking it up if the original flipper disc is OOP. I figure it would be open-matte anyway so it wouldn't bother me too bad.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

New four-sider cardboard display at Knollwood (St. Louis Park, MN.), with the Bond films and the Fox Westerns. Of the latter, I picked up:

The Bravados
Broken Lance
Buffalo Bill
The Comancheros
Forty Guns

Plus Legend Of the Lost (MGM)

The new display is to the right of the others and back along the aisle a bit...over by the 50% off drugstore clearance items.

i couldnt find any of the ones you were wondering about either.but you did find one i was looking for.which makes me think all of them are out there.has anyone else found the bond films yet?

also on my receipt, instead of saying bond or 007 it says DVDs For Dads.i know their standard price for older movies are usually $3,but i wonder if the bonds were just put out recently for fathers day.

Ziegfeld Follies, or Ziegfeld Girl? I've only seen the latter. Also, is the Wayne Collection a three-pack? And is Jamboree the '57 R&R flick? Many thanks.

It is Zeigfeld Follies, Jamboree is the '57 R&R flick, and the Wayne's were separate.
