1. A Felix The Cat silents collection called Felix!
&
2. I haven't seen the recent version as a bonus on the re-release, but at least up until then, LV's edition of the silent The Lost World was by far the highest quality & the only one from the Eastman Restoration (though shorter then the Image).

Re: Big Lots Part 4
Woo hoo!
Philadelphia, PA has a restock of the Bond flicks, including Never Say Never Again and Casino Royale (1967). Some of the Bond DVDs (The Living Daylights and For Your Eyes Only) were the one-disk remasters.
Also had some anime DVDs and some PC games that were new (Mount & Blade, Empire Earth Gold, Gothic 3 SE, Europa Universalis III Complete).
Bought Duel, Educating Rita, and When We Were Kings WS/FS.

Re: Big Lots Part 4
Found three copies of the WS/FS Sweet and Lowdown in the large shipper at the good Big Lots in my area. One was smashed, so I bought one for me and one for my friend.
I also bought a stack of Bonds. I wouldn't have, but they all had the booklets (I could tell by the weight and shaking them), so I left with Dr. No, You Only Live Twice, The Man With the Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, Octopussy, License to Kill, Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough. Would have gotten Moonraker and On Her Majesty's Secret Service, but I was out of cash, so tomorrow I'll probably grab those. Also saw The Living Daylights, but it was the new version and it didn't mesh with the other nine, and For Your Eyes Only didn't have the booklet (I could tell it was an Eco Box -- even worse!).
I also snagged Smiley Face and the comedy Casino Royale.
My wallet bemoans the idea of non-slashed Warners. There are already plenty I'd have purchased if they didn't slash the barcodes, so if they stop, I'm headin' towards broketown even faster than I already am.

Re: Big Lots Part 4
Yes, they were mixed in with what I assume was a box of DVD's that got put out on the 4 sided wire racks. This store also got in the 4 sided cardboard display that was filled with mostly Bond titles and also 4+ "flats" of dvd's. A lot of re-stock but many WB titles that previously showed up slashed are now showing up "clean".
. Sounds like you might've had the advantage of WB screwing up and sending the wrong format in to BL.

Re: Big Lots Part 4
Checked my closest Big Lots and didn't see any of this new stuff. When I walk into a Big Lots and head towards the DVD display, I always have an extra bit of anxiety when I see several other folks crowded around it. Anyone else experience this?

Me too, and often find myself eyeballing any DVDs they may have in their hands/carts to make sure that they didn't beat me to whatever it may be that I am looking for.

Re: Big Lots Part 4
I rarely worry about crowds, since 90% of the people by absolute dreck. A few weeks back there was a husband and wife, convinced "Operation Wolverine" with Dolph Lundgren was the same movie as "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"

Re: Big Lots Part 4
Instead I now dread the problem of getting other people to pick what they want and then move along. Never seems to fail if there is a group of people by the DVD display at Big Lots, they're not cherry picking the best, they're just hovering over the rack like buzzards waiting for something to die. Going down each row reading and re-reading the DVD back label descriptions, so that by the time they've finished one row you've already scanned the rest of the entire DVD display. Usually I just hit some other area of the store and hope they're gone by the time I get back.
Then there is the rarer, but far more annoying species, those that ignore every other section of the display *except* for the one you're at (whichever one it is at the moment - or changes to). And then they repeatedly reach past you, move in front of you, and practically hang around close enough to be able to rate your deodorant. Never seems to fail this seems to happen most at Big Lots stores that have the wire rack displays. We all know the ones - with shelf space too low to see the title bars, packed too dense to just flip through them, packed too deep to get to the back without pulling the entire front stack out first (made near impossible by the wire), and generally requiring time consuming dedication to go through (usually for little reward). Nothing puts the crimp in that already frustrating and awkward task like some obese middle aged lady one week past laundry day thinking the copy of '8 Mile' directly in front of you out of the 15 scattered through the display is the one with the sneak peak excerpt from Rowling's next book written on the back label.

Last time I went a guy was buying half a cart full, maybe closer to a full cart. I didn't look too closely, but he almost had to be buying multiples for reselling.

I thought that was Antonio Sabato, not Dolph Lundgren in Operation: Wolverine?
Anyone willing to pick up Thundercats 1 & 2 for me? I have an extra Smallville S.7 Blu-Ray to trade if interested.

Re: Big Lots Part 4
For me it never fails when I start looking at the DVDs at Big Lots, all of a sudden theres a bunch of interest in them. There could be no one there and they all appear and start looking at everything. And most times they never buy anything. I've actually seen multiple people stack up some DVDs, and then just dump them all back onto the shelf or display and take off.
