Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2
I, too, saw all those at the smaller store here along with the "Ducktales" and "Rescue Rangers" sets (1 & 2 for both).
I picked up "Crusoe" as a blind-buy even though it's only $9.99 at DD right now (but currently OOS). It cost $.81 more w/tax but at least with WM I have 90 days to decide whether or not to keep it and WM had it in stock.

Have never been able to find the 4 pack with Slaughter High, but they have a new Lion's Gate 4 pack, which I picked up for $5. It includes Creep, Tamara, Boy Eats Girl, and Drive-Thru.

I picked up HOWARD THE DUCK (SE) and WEIRD SCIENCE for $5 each. Cheapest I've seen for both of them in-store. I also blind bought REALITY BITES 10th Ann. Edition for $4, not sure if I'm gonna keep it or not though.

I saw that too and would have picked it up if Boy Eats Girl wasn't already in their Zombie 4 pak

horror fan might find this of interest, picked up the just released zombie movie "autumn" in the $5 bin tonight. was a blind buy for me, could be pretty good. for those who dont know, "autumn" is based on a book of the same name by a british horror writer named david moody that was published as a free online e-book and developed a huge cult following, the screenplay for the film was co-written by moody along with the director.

You could generally find this version $3 at Big Lots (or in a triple feature DVD for $6) quite a while back, so $4 for it is a decent price, just not the lowest it could be. It's a really enjoyable movie with a solid cast, though. Kind of like a mid-90s take on a John Hughes movie.

Both of my local Wal-Marts have brought back their five dollar bins. The current five dollar DVDs are on the shelves. These bins however are filled with Mexican flicks.

Same thing as mine.
They got rid of it for awhile and brought back a new "snazzy" version, but what was previously two separate bins is now just one with a good 89% Mexican titles.
Personally I think that the Best Buy $4.99 bin has better titles and aren't as badly treated as the ones in the Walmart bin are.
But my Walmart does put the better English language $5 titles on the shelves.

I found Daffy Duck Frustrated Fowl Looney Tunes Super Stars collection in the $8 cardboard display. No sign of the Bugs Bunny collection
In the 5$ bin, there was Snoopy's Reunion and a couple of the Midnight Horror Collection 4 packs: Blood Predators and Road Trip to Hell, and the Midnight Horror Collection 3 pack of the first three Puppet Master movies.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2
yes it rang up for $8. I think the display could hold about 6-8 copies of each $8 title. These wal-mart cardboard displays are usually only up for a couple of weeks.

^ Yep. I saw two copies for $8 tonight in the cardboard display. But for some reason they looked really cheaply made. No security tags. Felt re-wrapped. Only 15 episodes. But that's 2 hours of Daffy goodness. I passed for now. I just had this feeling that all of these Looney Tunes Super-Stars are going to end up being $5 in the bargain bin. Which is just wrong. I don't know why I was so let down just by holding it in my hands. I put it back and don't really regret it. But I love Daffy Duck cartoons? Urgh!
Anyway, what threw me was seeing about 10 copies of this for $20.

What in the world is this doing back on the shelves? Will the other three volumes follow?
