The 20% coupons are not taking off 20% when used at the AAA store.

Yes.

But now it's working.

Just tried again a couple hours later. Must have been a store glitch.

How long does it take for the membership number to show up in your email after your order one? Been 20 minutes so far, figured it would be almost instantly. Pretty lame.

I just got a bn member card today; would I be able to use both the R7A3A8T and T8X7V7N (multiple $5 off) coupons online?

Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks like you can only use one coupon at a time.

It's been a while but I believe if you purchase the membership online the number is automatically added to your account. You should be able to use it online right away.

If you have a membership you should be able to use at least the newer code T8X7V7N. The older code may or may not work depending when the membership was purchased. However if the membership was purchased at a store make sure to register the membership number with an online account first, otherwise the coupon will not work.

Check the first page of this thread. There is a section with coupons that do not require a membership. Also if you use the the links I posted on the first page you can save 5% to 10% on your order without a membership.

Does the site not accept more than one coupon code at a time? I can't get it to accept two.

Okay what about these 15% off Member coupons, for instance? It says they can be used in store when you click the link, but there is no coupon to print.

Not all B&N online coupons also have a printable store coupon available. Yes the coupon you have mentioned does indicate there is a store coupon but there is no printable version. The current 15% member coupon posted on the first page is monthly offer that is sent by snail mail to select members that contains a store coupon along with the online code.

LaserMovies, On the save $5 when spending $50 or more coupon. How does B&N work that? Is it the total price before they subtract our 10% member discount or the total after they've subtracted our 10% member discount?

Thanks in advance

Online it needs to be over $50 after ALL discounts. Same thing in-store but YMMV there.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

It won't let me use the F7C3H7F coupon. I don't understand why. 4 Criterions. Well over $50.

edit: apparently this won't stack with the AAA discount??

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

There is currently a free offer of a $10 gift certificate with the purchase of $100. of gift certificates. My question is: if you link in through Bing, and purchase only gift certificates, will you be credited with the current 12% "cash back"?

I assume you'e asking about the online $5/$50 non-member coupon?

This is what it says in the fine print taken directly from the coupon.

Total purchase must be equal to or greater than $50 before taxes and shipping but after all other discounts - including (if applicable) the standard member discount - are applied.

It should work through AAA. However there have been several posts about log in problems and trouble with coupons a few days ago through AAA though. I just did a test with my account at AAA a few minutes ago and the coupon was working. Might want to give it another try. Also make sure none of the DVDs in your cart are pre-orders.

Edit to add:

I noticed it appears AAA is adding an extra discount I don't remember seeing before. Apparently they are stacking members discounts with the AAA discounts now. Not sure if it is a glitch, or a special offer. Here is what it looked like below when I tested the $5 off coupon.

Your AAA Membership saved you a Total of 10 percent
Membership, Coupons & Savings

* Member Discount: $5.57
* Organizational Discount: $3.59
* Coupon and Promotional Discount: $5.00. (You used coupon F7C3H7F. See Details)
Remove or Replace this Coupon
* You saved $6.96 on shipping.

I have the details about the gift certificate deal on the first page for anyone interested.

I don't know if you would get credit through Bing but I saw a post yesterday in the B&N Criterion sale thread that claimed you could get 8% cashback at FW (fat wallet) for gift cards at B&N. Since I posted this I can confirm the FW 8% cashback is legit since I did it and have the $8 credit pending in my account. Also I got additional 5% cashback for making the purchase with my credit card.

Edit: Added post from the Criterion thread.

The promo is plainly spelled out on the gift card page at BN.com. The deal does not require a coupon code. The gift cards are mailed to you (site says ship in 1-2 days---that should be time enough to receive them before the sale ends. One catch: the $10 GC is emailed to you, but not until Dec. 26th.

Pretty sure none of the usual discounts (AAA, BN membership, BN coupons) will apply to gift card purchases. But, if you use the B&N cashback link at FW when you buy the cards, you do get 8% back on your $100 gift card purchase---so after that and the $10 GC, your net is $118 worth of credit at Barnes & Noble for a cash outlay of $100.

Bing offers an even bigger 12% cashback at B&N, but not on purchases of gift cards. (Not sure, but you might be able to get 12% via Bing if you redeem the giftcards online---YMMV on that).
