My membership account wasn't getting coupons, but another email account was. So I switched my membership to that email address, but I only got the regular coupons, not the membership ones. SO FRUSTRATING.

Wow, I offered two codes via PM and not a single taker. That's a first. Looks like B&N is falling off the map as far as DVDs go? I'm not surprised given that 15% off MSRP is better than nothing, but you can find better deals almost anywhere by comparison.

Maybe my suspicion's just reading too much into it. After seeing the surprising lack of coupons here (compared to previous years) I checked my email and got what seemed like a pretty normal offer to become a member:

However my thoughts are maybe B&N is setting themselves up for a lawsuit for false advertising from some customers who have purchased a membership and are not getting any of the email coupons. They would have a great case that B&N is not fulfilling that promise.
