Should have some new printable store coupons tomorrow to post, but if you are looking for the coupons in the mail it appears they are just starting to show up for a few people now. If you get those they probably would show up sometime this week I would imagine.

I got it yesterday. There are two 20% off coupons, 1 for $20 off of a Nook Simple Touch or Nook Color, and two other food related ones.

New printable coupons are now available. Also have some more online codes. Three more 20% member codes and a 15% code for all customers.

Hey LASERMOVIES! Another ditto on all the good work you do.
Before I toss in an order, do you now of any chance there might be a 20% off coupon coming down the road for non-members anytime soon? Thanks.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
At the moment I don't know of any new 20% coupons for non-members coming. For a while there were some BN Buzz 20% coupons popping up regularly, thanks to kenbenobi for getting most of those, but they seemed to have disappeared. I guess it's possible they could start showing up again, but there is no guarantee they will.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
That's interesting to know. It has been about 2 weeks since the last online Buzz coupon expired. I wonder if they may have stopped the online codes because they discovered they were getting leaked for anyone to use. With the store coupons they have better control who gets and can use them since you have to have a cell phone to receive the texts with the coupon information. They may show up again, but maybe they will start issuing unique one use codes to make it harder to share them.

Yep, same here. I was debating posting those, but it is definitely YMMV on using a coupon from a text that you can't show the clerk. The one I got yesterday is 503621. The previous two were 503611 and 503601. The store codes tend to follow a pattern for a while, but the online ones never do. March 28 is when I received the last online text.

It might be worth a shot if there are no other store coupons available. I think I would tell the cashier my cell phone battery went dead and left it in the car to charge. However I managed to copy the coupon number before it died and if I can apply it to my purchase. That might convince them to run it through.

Two new coupons in my email today.
Good today only (5/7/12)
Members 25% off one item
W7H7V3N
Non-Members 20% off one item

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
What constitutes an 'eligible item'? I just tried all 4 current member codes as listed on the 1st page (to purchase 1 DVD) and none of the codes work, details citing "! Your order does not qualify for coupon K9M9X8K (etc.). Please check the eligibility requirements for this coupon." Eligibility requirement details cite "The additional 20% discount will be applied to the most expensive eligible item in the order". I have not used these new codes yet (I used the code which expired this morning, but I've used none of the ones which are good until June 1st), so I'm assuming I should be eligible for them. Is there a dollar value attached to 'eligible item'? It doesn't specify any in the details. I've used the last $80 of my $100 gift card using these codes to buy 1 DVD at a time, I don't see why it should suddenly stop working now. Just wanted to ask here before I call B&N and make a fool of myself. I've made a fool of myself here before so one more time shouldn't hurt too much... -kd5-

I have a little over $11 left on my gift card, I was hoping to get that and Fahrenheit 451 with what was left. With 20% off each one I could've gotten both. Darn it.
I wonder if it would make a difference to call them? -kd5-

No, it wasn't a pre-order, this one in particular was Journey to the Center of the Earth
If they in fact added restrictions, I would think they would need to list said restrictions in the details...

I would not have expected to see something like that, therefore I would not have even thought to look for it. That's pretty lame of them to exclude certain titles from coupons, from their members. B&N probably figured these titles were cheap enough, why give us a chance to get them any cheaper? Well, I may just hang on to what's left and add it to the next $100 B&N gift card I get probably 6 months from now. I have a few DVDs in my wish list, but nothing that I'm craving besides the ones I wanted to get. Oh well... -kd5-

Not everything is marked that is not eligible with coupons, but it seems they are restricting it on things marked down on sale. The coupon restrictions have been becoming more common of late on sale items at B&N. If this is going to be the future trend they can count on me becoming a former customer. I still have a few months remaining on my current membership and can't see renewing it if they are going to keep adding restrictions and eliminating or cutting discounts. Since March my DVD and blu-ray purchases have dropped way off at B&N. I expect I may pick up a few Criterions during the next sale if it happens in July since I have some gift cards to use, but probably far fewer if coupons are not allowed if that is the direction B&N is starting to go.
Even their criterion sale isn't that exciting anymore when Amazon regularly prices criterions at the $20 mark or less.

Let's see, Amazon's membership continues to offer customers more like the prime videos while BN continues to take more away from the customers. What a retarded business model. The membership used to be a great deal with a 10% savings added to these coupons. Free shipping alone can't justify the membership cost.

However I disagree on the Criterion sale unless B&N imposes coupon restrictions next time. Up through the last sale I was getting $40 list Criterions well below Amazon's sale prices online and at stores. It was still a special sale I looked forward to twice a year.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
If you're still interested in those DVD titles I would suggest trying again. It appears B&N removed the coupon restrictions after the one day coupons expired. I noticed it still has the disclaimer on the product page about coupons not being allowed, but when I tested a 20% coupon it did apply the discount. Might want to jump on it in case they impose the coupon restrictions again.
With the games they like to play, I doubt that I'll continue with this membership once the trial runs out. Besides, $25 would negate any savings I've accrued anyway, and with my next (potential) gift card 6 months away (or longer), it wouldn't be worth it to me to keep it. Any time I saved money with my member discounts, the $25 annual membership fee would nullify the savings. -kd5-

Perhaps we are starting to see the first signs of a post-Borders b&m bookstore monopoly. If so, it's a mistake and it won't work. Now with Amazon apparently taking on some new and vastly inferior pricing policies and structuring and more and more states adding sales tax, it would be a good time for B&N to seize some of their castoff business. Instead they are discouraging same by imposing new restrictions that make their already diminished appearance shine even less.
