Used up the rest of my groupons with two GCs per account. Now I only ones with one per account... So far none have been zeroed out. Placed two orders using ONE groupon per order and both shipped. So far I'm 4 for 5.

Thanks for continuing to provide the codes for us!
I'm optimistic I can find the 20% code since I didn't see any mention of any personal coupon codes this week. I assume they are going to send out regular coupon codes everyone can use instead, which are easier to find.

Does anyone know if they will automatically credit the CC? I fear I call right away about the three GC reduced to 0, they will track my name and zapped my remaining $20 GC's.
I did purchases with two different cards, but the majority were on one of them. I have not had the chance to check which cards the three were on they zeroed out. I think they were probably the same card since they were the last three Groupons I purchased. However if you still have any valid Groupons use them now. Eventually they may zero out the balance even if you used different cards.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I just got 10/12 zeroed out across four Groupon accounts/2 different credit cards. The 2 remaining ones were one on each credit card used. So it looks like BN or Groupon went back and killed the multiple certificates based on credit cards, which sucks if you bought them for gifts or if you share a credit card with someone. I hadn't tried to use any of them due to wanting the whole security review hold thing to die down.

Does anyone know offhand if Groupon will automatically credit our CC accounts for the zeroed out CG's, or will we have to call to have them do so?

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Started reading about the zeroing out last night and then scrambled to see if I could still use any of the nine I had left. Eight were zeroed out.
Very disappointing since I had a whole strategy for all the good upcoming releases till 4/10, charted out. But then again, I got to use seven I wasn't supposed to so...
Hopefully all those are solid as everything has been marked as shipped at this point.
I expect to have to wait till my March statements to know for sure that Groupon credited the funds back to my CCs.
Fun while it lasted I guess

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I received the "Your attention is required" emails for all 4 of the items in my "security review" order. I clicked the "I still want this" link for 3 of the 4. I wanted to cancel the 4th item, but they denied me yesterday. We'll see what happens now...

Just got this email:
We previously notified you that we held your order for security review. We have cancelled your order because it did not comply with the Terms & Conditions of the Barnes & Noble Groupon.

My order doesn't show as canceled in my account yet, but I'm sure it truly is canceled. Oh well. Now I'm with the rest of you, waiting for Groupon to give me my money back.

On the bright side, I still have one groupon that hasn't been zeroed out yet. I plan to use it in-store tonight.

I have not seen any official end date posted at B&N.com but would assume it will probably run through the end of the month.

They're advertising a BBC Sale with up to 65% off of 100s of titles on their website, but when I go to the link, there definitely aren't that many on sale.

Both of my remaining Groupons were zeroed out as well. I guess I should have used them earlier, but without any additional coupons, the Criterion prices were still more than they'd be during the July sale, so I just couldn't bring myself to place an order.

Well, its certainly not an automatic process. I sent emails and within less than 12 hours they initiated the refund process.

Trying to get back to some GOOD news, my Twilight Zone S3 BD set shipped (which was FREE!) from my B2G1F Ship-to-home order last month. There's one more to cross off my list...

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Mix of Good and Bad news...I bought 14 Groupons and have been able to successfully use 8 of them (none of mine got voided by Groupon), but 2 out of the 3 orders I placed using 3 groupons were held up in security review and got canceled (fair enough).

But, BN never put the value back on to the Groupon Codes, so I'm out 6 codes ($60) as of right now. Just got off the phone w/BN.com and they gave me the number for Groupon. This is moronic. If I buy a $20 code from a 3rd party, BN.com should not be allowed to unilaterally void that code. They may refuse to accept the coupon code, but they are depriving me of the full value of the code. Groupons are freely transferable, I could easily take my 6 codes, each worth $20 and give them to 6 different people. This is idiotic.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Just got this.... I didn't email them myself at all.

Thank you for your interest in the Barnes & Noble Groupon.

According to our records, you were able to order more than the allotted limit by purchasing this Groupon either in multiple cities or over several accounts. Because of our stipulations of this deal requiring "One Per Person", we have canceled your extra Groupons and refunded the amount back to your original form of payment. We have left your initial Barnes & Noble purchase in your account to use as purchased.

We're sorry for any confusion and inconvenience. The Fine Print, which is located beneath the feature picture of any deal, will always state how many Groupons you are allowed to purchase. You can see the Fine Print for the Barnes & Noble deal here:http://www.groupon.com/chicago/deals...ional-division

If you have questions, concerns feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].

I received that email tonight too. This could get interesting because I used all of my Groupons successfully the day I bought them. I'll be watching my CC to see if they really do refund my money and also to see if B&N tries to charge me the difference.

^Got the same email at 9:01 pm EST. I did email them around 6:30 pm, though, regarding the cancelled groupons. I guess we'll see how it all plays out. I used 2 groupons online and 3 in store.

Well, I went to my local B&N and used my last Groupon tonight. They wouldn't let me buy a gift card with it, so I just bought a DVD, and will return the DVD later this week, which I assume they will then have to issue to a gift card...

I received several of those Groupon emails tonight, but noticed they were sent to only the email addresses that were associated with the Groupons that they canceled yesterday. So far I have not heard anything from them regarding any of the Groupons I already have used. I have a feeling they cannot do anything if you redeemed them and the orders were shipped. B&N can't go back and charge you. I assume Groupon can only issue refunds for the Groupons they managed to cancel before you could use them.

I got 3 zeroed out (via the "your order violated the terms of the bn groupon) and I guess I'll have to call them to see if they'll credit me back. I also have that one I used on Black swan preorder that is still in limbo.

I did this today with a couple of books I ordered. If you can try to have them dump it onto another giftcard where you have some amount of credit. I had them consolidate my 3 GC/Store Credit into one card with $123 worth of credit.

The funny thing is, they DID remove the groupon from my account. It was used, but they removed it anyway...

Ken, the one you used in store last night wasn't zeroed out by them already, or it was?
