My Costco had a limited edition box set called The Best of Pixar, which includes Toy Story 1 and 2, Monters Inc, Finding Nemo, and Cars for $99.99. It may have additional DVDs but those are the ones that I remember.

Does the Pixar set contain the widescreen or full screen editions?

Also, the movies in the Pixar set are not in individual cases. Each movie has a 'page' or whatever it is called that holds the disc(s).

does anyone have pics of what the pixar case looks like when opened, like an example of the pages? are all movies 2-disc with the exception of cars/ratatouille?

I found these links:
http://pixarplanet.com/blog/disneypi...vie-collection
http://www.doobybrain.com/2008/06/14...4-dvds-in-all/
The first link mentions specific editions for two of the films, and the second confirms that there are 14 discs. That would make 6 2-disc editions and 2 1-disc editions, so you're probably right about Cars and Ratatouille. Also, there's a small picture on the second one that shows a little of what the inside of the case looks like.

If you need all 8 of the movies then it is a good price because it would break down to $12.50 a movie before tax

Whew. No new bonus materials so I won't have to double dip.

I am happy, I picked up the 2 disc "Dirty Dozen" dvd for $8.99. They also had Branaugh's Hamlet 2 disc for that price.

I'm hoping they have the new Monk/Psych 2-pack for $50 like they did for the first one. Also hoping for a deal on Stargate Atlantis S4.

I saw some Warner Bros. box sets tonight.

For $17.99 each they had several of TCM Archives sets. The ones I saw were
Forbidden Hollywood Vol 1
Buster Keaton
Laurel and Hardy
The Silent Garbo

For $34.99 each they had
John Wayne-John Ford Film Collection (The Searchers Ultimate Edition / Stagecoach Two-Disc Special Edition / Fort Apache / She Wore a Yellow Ribbon / The Long Voyage Home / They Were Expendable / 3 Godfathers / The Wings of Eagles

Controversial Classics Collection (Advise and Consent / The Americanization of Emily / Bad Day at Black Rock / Blackboard Jungle / A Face in the Crowd / Fury / I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang)

The Chaplin Collection, Vol. 1 (Modern Times / The Great Dictator / The Gold Rush / Limelight)

International Cinema Collection (A Very Long Engagement / Day for Night / The Damned / Gloomy Sunday / Death in Venice)

There may be others but these are the ones I remember.

Awesome price on many of those, particularly the John Wayne/John Ford set. I remember being happy to get it for at least $20 more than that at Costco back when it came out 2 years ago. The set is a must-have for any real film buff.

I think I saw it for $35.

Target regularly has Psych S1 plus all the older Monk seasons for 19.99, so it might be good to wait for these new releases to drop to that price.

I missed Hamlet 2 in theaters but heard that it was really slow and not much happened in the plot.
