both Battlestar Galactica 2.0 & 2.5 are still showing at the $34.98 price for me right now. . .

I ordered Ellen season 5, South Park season 8, Golden girls seasons 3 and 4. Both orders were about 43 dollars (one with the $10 off coupon), so its basically around the same prices during DDD's 20% off sale, which is still good.

Is the $10 off MC coupon still working? I know that you're not supposed to be able to use any other coupons, but I won't be able to make an order until tonight. If they killed that coupon, then this deal will be dead to me. Thanks.

But seemingly not with B1G1F anymore. This is a model of how not to run a sale. The prices seem to change by the hour, they are making up the rules as they go along, and titles go in and out of being included in the sale. Bizarre.

I went ahead and ordered them this morning anyway, came out to $20 each so its still pretty good, now I check and they're back to $35 but excluded from the offer

You're right -- how odd! I know the eligible ones are supposed to have that "Free DVD" icon, but these didn't yesterday so I thought it would still work.

Yeah, this sale is a pain in the butt. Prices keep changing and if the $10 off isn't valid then it is totally not worth it. Although there are some deals here and there like scrubs.

On somewhat of a side note I really don't like BN.com as an online retailer. They kind of screwed me over in the past and I haven't trusted them since.

Just an FYI..I just went to my local B&M BN store and they let me use the MC coupon that I printed out and get the B1G1F deal.

I got Lost S1 & S2 for about $21.00 each with tax. Not a bad deal.

I ordered a few things yesterday and they cancelled all of my orders. When I called they said that I couldn't order more than 1 per customer. I didn't use the $10 off on any of the orders. The funny things is that they cancelled all of the orders, not just all but 1. Wait I guess that's not that funny.

Man you gotta love this sale. Now they jacked up ALL of the prices so there are no discounts at all on any of the "for sale" items. And they took away all of their most popular items (Battlestar Galactica, House, etc.) from the sale.

I'm beginning to hate B&N.

I've tried adding Deep Space Nine seasons 2 and 4 Babylon 5 seasons 3 and 3, Doctor Who season 1 and Thundercats Season 2 Vol 2 to the cart and can't get any of them to come up for free. And the nearest Barnes and Noble is an hour and a half away.

You lucked out. The terms of the coupon says not valid in store.

So are Battlestar Galactica, House, Saturday Night Live, etc. still available for B1G1 in store then? They were all available online until this afternoon but magically were removed from the sale online recently.

Coupon says not valid at college bookstores--but says Store Coupon right at the top.

EDIT-- My Bad--looks like they changed the coupon.

Where do you see they changed the coupon? The one that is posted in the link on the first page still only says not valid at college bookstores.

B&N really knows how to ruin a sale. They are worse than DDD with price fluctuations. At least DDD still gives you a bargain. I think B&N just ruined a good sale. Luckily, my order of two SNL S1 sets shipped last night. $38.58 total. SNL is no longer included in the sale, so I feel very fortunate...

Doh! You're right. I clicked on the banner on the website. The one posted at the top of the thread should work in-store.

I just got back from Barnes & Noble. I picked up the only Star Trek Deep Space Nine season I didn't have (got the rest in the $20 off $50 sale but S1 was out of stock) and the complete North and South set. Both are $70 list and after 10% off and the $10 coupon and plus tax they cost me about $55. I'm not a member and I hesitate to become one because I'm not sure I'd spend enough to justify it.

I didn't need to but I was told that if there was something I wanted that was out of stock they would order it for me and I'd still get the sale price. I suppose YMMV.

This is quite a sale and much better in-store, as zeddnola said.

I was able to get Animaniacs Vol.1, Pinky & The Brain Vol.1, and a $6 magazine I wanted (to push the total over $40 after discounts so I could use the MasterCard coupon) for $34.19 after tax.

I was all over this sale last night. I grabbed 2 copies of Star Trek TOS Season 1 - 3 for 120 total, and 2 copies of Star Trek Voyager Season 4 for 113. I found several other combinations that I wanted, yet BN flagged my CC for security reasons. (in the event that someone may had stolen my CC)

Apparently, I spent too much money in a small time frame. I called their CS number, and they said the financial services dept takes care of that problem, and I would have to wait until today. Needless to say, I'm pretty steamed that many of the sets are no longer part of the deal. I could have got 2 copies of the West Wing collection for $200 bucks when just one copy is over $200 in stores!

I went ahead and purchased the Buffy and Alias sets, with my AAA discount the grand total was $205.66 for both sets (B&N charges tax), and for that price, you cannot go wrong buying these sets. I can put one or both up on eBay and still come out ahead at least $8-14 per set when all is said and done. Thanks OP for alerting us fellow DVD Talk members to this deal!

HUGE thanks OP! I just went to my B&M store, expecting to buy nothing. But instead, I got Fraggle Rock S1 & S2 for 53 cents (well, technically $36, but I never would have used that gift card otherwise). When I presented the $10 coupon I said I had a gift card that would cover part of it, and asked if I could use my MC for the rest. She called her supervisor, and they said yes. What they didn't realize is my GC covered everything but 53 cents! She gave me a dirty look after she found out. BTW, the Fraggles are $49.99 each and are on sale for 10% off. So $34.99 for the 2 seasons after the coupon...
