Nope. I'm not even close to that. Just 14 here. 7 Star Trek: TNG, 4 Murder She Wrotes, 2 Perry Mason and 1 Law and Order: SVU.

After usually buying 99% of everything for me and the kids, all 14 are intended for the wife.

Fortunately I have rarely ever had cable or I would have wanted to buy so much more than I did.

I ended up picking up 3 dvds and one for my girlfriend. couldn't ever swing the 15% coupon, but really wasn't going to argue with them over a few dollars.

got:

MacGyver - season 7
Walt Disney Treasures - Walt Disney Presents (for GF)

Extras S1
Lucky Louie

all the sets were prices i was willing to pay and over all i'm very happy as well.

My haul (or damage, whichever way you want to look at it)

BG Seasons 1, 2, 2.5
Scrubs Seasons 1,2,3,4
Family Guy v4

I see them sitting on my shelf for a LONG time, because I have a lot of other titles to plough through first.

FANTASTIC sale. Hope they have another one (not too soon though!)

Actually B&N doesn't give full retail credit for returns without a receipt. BN police is store credit for the lowest sale price. We have to look up the price in our bookmaster system and give credit based on that (usually it's the dot com price). At least that's what we're supposed to do.

And a Partridge Family in a pear tree...
Oh wait, you didn't get that one. Seriously though, you have a cool wife if she likes ST: TNG!

Well, you win with the total number of sets purchased, but I got you if you separate the bundles! I found one more receipt, so I actually bought 56. But if you separate the bundles into individual seasons I got 81. I bought a lot of bundles! Like I said, it will be a LONG time before I watch all of these...

Yeah I think I had one more set which the Battlestar Galactica with the Cylon packaging.

In the end, I think it is safe to say they probably know both of us very well

Just got both of my Alias Complete collections in the mail. This thing is sweet! Now to decide whether to ebay the other one now, or wait for the supply to die down.

Ah, yeah...yikes! Sorry about that, brother. I meant to say 10% off. It was the heat of the moment thing, I guess. :sheepish grin:

Is this an annual event?

Since we are nearing January 2008, I was wondering if anyone happens to know if the B1G1 free TV Boxsets is an annual event at B&N? I received a B&N gift card a few days ago, and am trying to figure out if I should wait for the B1G1 TV boxset sale (if it is going to happen) or use a 25% off coupon now.

Thanks,

-Zutton

As we understand from posts in the B&N coupon thread, it will be buy 2 get 1 this year, just like the June sale.

Thanks BKenn01! I checked the last few pages of that thread before posting here, but didn't see anything specific. It must have just been further back.

Thanks for the quick response!

Hate to be cranky here, but please dont post on old dead threads. You waste a lot of people's time this way.

I saw this thread, and thought it was a new thread and thought it odd that so many people had already responded to it.

Especially because the thread title just has January dates, and doesn't mention "2007"

How about killing this misleading thread? Like others, I wasted a few moments reading until I noticed the posting dates were from the first of the year. Since the new deal is B2G1 free, this thread is totally irrelevant.

I work at BN and we recently got word that starting Jan 4th we'll be doing the Buy 2 get the 3rd free. The Tv show box set deal was a first and only time thing (for the time being).

With the high prices this isn't much of a deal. This might just average out with the buy 2 and get 1 free as the amount you would spend elsehwere buying all three outright.

Oh, snap. I just wasted 30 seconds of my life by perusing this thread and realizing it was an old one. I demand I get those 30 seconds back. What a waste, as I could have easily spent those 30 seconds elsewhere much more important, like at freerice.com for example, donating 120 grains of rice.

With the membership and if your strategic you can get some decent deals, especially if you have some christmas gift cards you want to burn. Which i suppose is the reason they're doing this to begin with.

Thanks Elpresidentepez.

My apologies for dragging up this old thread and the confusion it is now causing because of the dates in the title. I thought this was the best place to post my question, but in hindsight I should have added a new thread, or maybe posted in the coupon one.

Mods: Can you either edit the title here to include 2007, or lock?

Thanks,

-Zutton
