DDD has it for $75.55. during their 20% sale it could go down to around $60.

With the $10 Off $30 With Google Checkout offer, you can get it for $67.40 from DVDEmpire (plus shipping) or $64.83 from buy.com (plus shipping). Be aware you'll be paying upfront for something that won't be shipping for nearly two months, though...

The Richard Donner cut is included in this, the Ultimate Collector's Edition. It is NOT included in the Christopher Reeve Superman Collection (which is the 8-Disc set).
The Ultimate Collector's Edition is the way to go! I can't wait!

Does the Ultimate Edition have 'Supergirl' cause I'm trying to figure out the disc count...
4 Superman: The Movie
3 Superman II/Richard Donner
2 Superman III & IV
2 Superman Returns
11 Total
Whats on the other 3 discs?

11/28 should be close to the time that AMEX will do their Wish Certificates. Hopefully they'll offer the 25%-off Amazon certificates again. This would bring the price down to $52.50 (assuming that the $69.99 price holds for a little while after release).

Do you guys think this will be the kind of release with incentives?
LIke a Best Buy bonus disc or something?
I couldn't imagine what else they could add to this already complete collection, but I am hesitant to pre-order this online just yet, to see if any of the chains offer anything extra.

^Not at Amazon. Once it hits the "shipping soon" stage, it can't be cancelled. It has been better for me lately, but for a while it was sitting in that stage for a few days before shipping. I seem to remember it went into that stage during the weekend before Batman Begins came out. I might be wrong, though.

if your order something on amazon with 'check' as your payment you can sit on the price, and when you want to buy it you just change your payment to your credit card...

I'm going to have to get the HD versions AND the boxed set.

I hope people don't mind me mentioning Columbia House here. I have a little over $100 of Funcash, and before the end of the year I've got to find something to buy with it or lose it. Since you always pay a penalty (full MSRP) and shipping with CH Funcash, I consider paying $100 of Funcash + $7.99 out of pocket shipping for the Superman Ultimate Collection [assuming CH will carry it] about equal to paying $69.99 delivered from DDD.
The real issue is I've had this Funcash for most of this year, and I still haven't found anything I want enough to use it. It seems like getting the Superman UE with my Funcash is my best possibility yet. Does anyone know of any reasons why doing it this way is not a good plan?
