Just got back from the Tower Records in Philadelphia. $16.99 for the 2 disc set. When did Tower start having such great deals?

Sam's Club had the 2 disc version, with a movie companion book for $24.
I almost picked it up but the lines were too long and the book must have been flimsy because the package wasn't any wider than the DVD box.

Reserved a space on my shelf next to the kK box set, KK ('76), and the Production Diaries. Yeah I'm excited. Now only if I had a Tower Records flyer. Guess I'll bite the bullet and get it from Target, along with their $26 bookcase.

Went to Tower in Tustin, CA and was able to use the Papa John's $3 off coupon with no problems! The guys at the register didnt know what to do first, but after calling someone (manager im assuming) they gave it to me for $13.99. Not a bad deal at all for KK 2-disc.

Looks like WalMart is actually showing the 2-disc version for 18.87. Here's the link.

Question is will that be the in-store price?

Just got back from Costco -- the 2-disc KK was $20.89, and the one-disc version was bundled with the boxed KK Production Diaries for $27+. Don't get me started about paying $26 for the damn box last fall...Didn't see the single disc separately, but I really wasn't looking.

My first order from Tower goes bad. But they seem to have good customer service and the bad hub isn't their fault.
My disc was off too so I called. They are only sending me an envelope not a replacement copy right away. Now I have to wait even longer to get a good copy, boo. I even asked for a replacement copy be sent right away.

Same here, effectively 3.99 + tax on $13.99. Could have gotten the 2-Disc for effectively 10.99 + tax on 20.99 after PM to Targets price.

The double disk is not part of the makng of disk exclusive. Only the single disk has the making of.
Can anyone confirm there is a bonus disc available exclusively at Walmart? Unless I'm reading the above post incorrectly it says theres a making of disc on the single disc version - any confirmation from anyone who purchased at Walmart? The above post is the only one I've seen which mentions a bonus disc available for this release.

What's up with this survey? Is it at all Circuit City locations? Did you guys receive the $10 gc at the time of the survey, or are they mailing them to you?

I'm in for the one-disc bundle. I don't think there was a one-disc non-bundle, unless they really hit them. I didn't expect the big box, with the 4 pics, and everything...

Not sure if it's at all CC locations. I was there around noon today. You could only complete the survery if you were purchasing Kong.

Took about 1-2mins and then I was given the $10 GC right there.

Wal-Mart in State College, PA had the 2-disc set for 21.87. I printed out the WM.com internet price and had no problem pricematching and using the Papa Johns coupon. All-told got it for 15.87 plus tax. Not a bad deal!

The comic for the Target version isn't anything special, but it's cool that it's small enough that I can put it into the actual DVD case.

the wal mart in TUlsa had the single disc packed with a book. It looks like the size of a dvd...I think people are confusing this with a bonus disc. Anyone have a pic to disprove me?

Didn't think of that, but thanks for the suggestion.

Picked up the 2-Disc KK, plus a few others (Dune Extended, Frighteners Director's Cut and Serenity) that I had been waiting for price drops on (no need to wait here) for $44.xx including tax.

Considering I was all set to drop $19.99 plus tax at Borders for KK, the extra $20 + tax for the other 3 was worth it to me.

As Cameron said, it's a book, not a bonus disc. Linky-poo to Walmart.com
