I am thinking the PD will somehow become a deal with or actually included in the EE as well............

I've seen several times where the online price is significantly lower than the instore price. One specific instance I recall was for the Digital Video Essentials DVD.

P.S. Thanks for the survey link. Hopefully the price is the same this time.

Apparently the MSRP of the Production Diaries will be going down to around $20 a few days after Kong hits. So it seems you might get your wish.

I just spotted a great Borders coupon: King Kong 2-disc edition for only $19.99, available to Borders Reward Program members:

I shopped at a local Tower store yesterday afternoon (Tustin) and was handed a new release flyer. It specifically stated that King Kong 2-disc will be $16.99 in stores next Tuesday.

Tower.com lists some decent titles for $4.99 that would help you get over the $20 minimum so that the $5 coupon could be used (or for free shipping):
http://www.towerrecords.com/Video/De...ale&price=1000

Most of the $4.99 titles are on that first page. Hopefully those are the same price instore.

Do Tower Record Flyers get distributed frequently? Because in that case you could potentially get the two Disc for $13.39 at Circuit City. My logic: Papa John's coupon, and the "10% off the difference" rule.

But the problem is getting a flyer.

I think its already happend. BN.com and Suncoast.com have it for $22.98, which looks like the new MSRP. CircuitCity.com has it on sale for $19.99.

The BB, CC, & Targets in my area are all saying $22.99 according to the online ads, so it looks like there may be some regional pricing on this.

How fast is Tower's free shipping? I'll be out of town April 3-5, and I don't want it sitting on my porch.

If it shipped Saturday, you should have it Mon or Tuesday. They don't use media mail.

Does anyone know if The Wherehouse's rebates are reliable? I've never tried them before. They have King Kong 2 DVD for $22.99 with an $8 mail in rebate. I'm thinking I'll have to be able to buy the 2 DVD edition under $15 or I'll just hold off King Kong completely until the 4 DVD extended edition comes out around Christmas (assuming the many rumors are true).

Does anybody know where I can get a flyer for Tower Records if I don't have one in my area? Like the Sunday ads, or something?

Anyone know of a Canadian retailer selling it for below Futureshop's price of $32.99?

Check the tech. info section. It says 1-Disc. Buy.com may have put the wrong bitmap. Also under Related Products, you'll see the real price of the 2-disc version, which is $31.99

It might say 1 disc in the technical info, but it is the 2 disc set for $19.97. The UPC number in the technical info matches the 2 disc set and it clearly says 2 disc in the title header. The $31.99 version that you saw is for the limited edition tin of the 1933 movie. BTW, the 1 disc version at Buy.com is $14.97.

Strawberries/Coconuts

free limited edition poster with purchase of King Kong(I would guess either version)

1 disc LOW DVD PRICE!
2 disc 22.99 - $8 MIR = $14.99 + tax

probably good at Wherehouse, might be good at FYE(all same corporate parent). Yes, you can submit the price sticker. Keep copies of everything.

BTW, they also have
King Kong(original or 1st remake) 7.99
King Kong Box Set 32.99
