Wow..I've only ordered a couple times from Overstock [Tomorrow People price mistake, and a comforter set], and have not had any problems, but I'm going to be very wary of them in future, not just due to people's various problem stories [and I know negative stories are easier told than positive stories], but just the half-assed, random, PITA way they seem to run their business.

I'm going to wait and see what happens. If they try to pull anything I will not be happy camper. The good thing about this state is the Attorney General Darrell McGraw has nothing to do, and thus takes up issues like this.

In any case, KEEP your order confirmation email, which lists the correct product that you ordered.

At most, you are out a couple of bucks.

Bahaha! I called it in the Anime thread. (Not that I didn't place my order too
)
Still, as others state, I'm willing to wait it out. I printed the receipt with the "Evangelion" listing, so if they want to play this game with their customers, Overstock has the potential to be out thousands of dollars in sales.

I called CS, and the lady told me all she could to was tell the warehouse she talked to me and I should get an e-mail soon saying if they will give me the item. I didn't print out the confirmation with the price (why isn't the price in the email confirmation?), but at least I have the e-mail confirmation to prove I ordered it.

Like most everyone else, my order had changed to "Street Fighter", so I called Overstock as well hoping to stick it to them and get the Neon Genesis set.
However, as soon as I said my piece to the CSR, she mentioned that my order was, in fact, Neon Genesis. Aghast that she wasn't skirting the issue, I refreshed my order status online at their site to find that it was true -- it had reverted back.
It seems as though the title might have changed (to simply "Neon Genesis Evangelion", foregoing the whole box set details title), but the item number is the same (10083223). Funnily enough, they've finally corrected the price and title of the item on their website (http://www.overstock.com/?page=profr...od_id=1715303).
So who knows? Maybe they've actually bitten the bullet...

So I ordered one set and it's not showing up in my Order Status at all, I only see my previous orders from them. I did get the confirmation email though. Anyone else have this happen? And, what do I do about it?

Mine changed back to Neon Genesis as well. Maybe someone at Overstock figures if they altered it, it would get everyone to cancel their orders. So, by temporarily messing with our heads, they managed to get 25% of you to cancel your orders.

Excellent news. I'm just going to keep mine as is. I saw the Street Fighter talk, but I figured, it's not TOO much, so it would be better to just wait it out. And that's what I'm going to do. I'll worry about it later if things get really shady. Thanks for the update!

mine also changed back to that so i just called them to make sure it's the 7 dvd set and they said it is the same item and they were just having problems with their website earlier, so i guess lets see what happens.
