feels bad for all of those that cancelled.

I wonder if they are going to try and charge 85$, or if they are just going to bite the bullet.

I just checked my Visa online, and I was charged $8.03 for each of the two orders i placed. My order also is showing the original title. Looking good so far.

Checked my checking account and I was only charged the $8.03 here as well. Kinda upset that it's the same disc count as the individual volumes but is missing all the extras, but for $8, I can't be that upset.

I agree. I'm not much of an anime fan, but considering the price, I'm tempted to try it out. Still, I'll probably just "return" it to Best Buy for an ~$80 shopping spree. Thanks, Overstock!

I rarely, if ever, criticize other members, but if I was a Mod and fascist, i'd ban you in a second.

What?! If you've kept up with this topic, you'd notice quite a few other members who have no real interest in the box set's contents. I'd be willing to wager that they, like me, have no real intention of keeping it as some sort of trophy or war prize. In fact, earlier on there was a motion to not flood eBay with our unwanted, discounted box sets. I was using the Best Buy example as hyperbole, but it's essentially the same thing. I might gift the damn thing -- who knows?

I'm glad I decided to wait and cancel my order until tomorrow because I just checked the site and saw that my order had switched back as well! We'll see what happens...

Has everybody's blood pressure now returned to normal?

For all the frantic activity in this thread, everyone who ordered this seems to have been charged the correct amount, and their order is sitting at Overstock waiting for release date. They either will or will not honor the misprice, so we're right where we were when we first placed the orders.

I agree. It's one thing to sell a set you purchased via misprice on the secondary market (eBay, etc.) but it's another to return it to a store you didn't purchase it from in order to profit via store credit.

Good luck trying to return anything to best buy

Without a reciept you are s.o.l.

I got a game as a gift, it has a best buy price tag on it, I tried to return it at two different stores for an exchange and was turned away. They told me to take it to wal-mart.

Best buy sucks ass when it comes to customer service. Be sure not to buy anyone a gift at best buy because they will not be able to exchange it without a reciept.

While I'm sure they adopted this policy due to abuse like that mentioned already in this thread, not taking an item that clearly came from your store is just bad pool.

Well, no one answered me but in case this happened to anyone else the charge of $8.03 is now showing up on my Bill-Me-Later account page. But it's still missing on my Overstock order status. I've emailed them twice in the last two days and haven't received a response but the charge leaves me optimistic.

You should be fine... just don't go calling them and/or canceling your order.

At this point, the best thing anyone can do to maximize their chances of getting this deal is to just sit tight. Mums the word until the week of release and shipping.

Yea I know people should really stop calling them about this. Just let it go unless you get charged some crazy amount. Then you should say something.

For those of you pre-ordered Overstock's Evangelion Complete set for $6.63...

My CC is charged for the set (not that i really care, since it's onlly $6.63). Hmmm, i'm not really sure what this means. It's my first time with Overstock for pre-order items. I did order this set together with the Matrix LE set, so this might be the reason why Overstock charged the Evangelion set. Anyway, did this happen to any of you? Hey, if they charged you, they gotta deliver it right? The iSKU number is still the same, on the site, 10083223 is now out of stock.
