i got the charles dickens DVD set from that mistake but i didn't get this one. from what i'm reading, i dont' think i'm going to either. paid via CC, didn't use my store credit yet, and have no idea what the survey is. if by survey you mean the "rate this product" email, then no, i didn't fill that out since i never got the product!

It looks like I won't be getting this deal (paid with credit card, rec'd and used the $5 credit), but I definitely want the set. Is Walmart's $46.44 price the best anyone's found online?

However, I believe these commentaries are all by the English voice talent. I never like the English overdubs, not for Evangelion or any others (with the possible exception of "FLCL", which is exceptionally well done though I prefer most of the characters in orig. Japanese), so I have little interest in these. But I'd love to know if I'm overlooking something!
Inside is another 12-page booklet with episode commentaries, profiles of this disc's Angels and a few more screenshots.

If you want the booklets, slipcovers, and English oriented extras, pay more bucks for the volume 1 + box and the subsequent, individual volumes.
If you just want the show and director's cut episodes, get the thinpak.
In either case, forget the original box set (which goes for $75 at BB), unless you absolutely cannot tolerate the couple of missing subtitles (for some spoken Japanese in some background crowd) in episodes 2 and 5 (it seems ADV intentionally dropped them for unknown reasons).

My order was cancelled, I didn't get the set (paid by credit card) and got "you have $5 credit" e-mail. I tried to use it just now, but the discount is not showing up in my order even after logging in. Am I late to redeem it or doing something wrong?

Don't think I ever got the $5 credit, though.
