well, i ordered one, i printed and attached the receipt. just incase if they try to charge full price because the order confirmation you receive does not contain the price and they could try to make you buy it at full price, although i never had problems witth them before.

Oh I did both. I was pissed at the CSR ineptitude and I just couldn't sit still waiting the 60 days that Visa told me they would need to resolve the matter, so I kept at it every week or so.

Thanks , I ordered one earlier before it went OOS . I posted at FW letting know that it was posted here first and it was swiped .... just so some deal-glory-hounds couldn't take credit for a DVDtalk member's find .

Most of them could care less about that kind of stuff. Some of them even take pride in deal swiping.

I do, because this is about the only place I look for DVD bargains.

I think it was a rhetorical question.

Uh, the point being, if it's posted in both places, what's the sense arguing (or pointing out) where it came from first.

Hey Lemondrop, I care. If a deal is posted on FW first, I usually know at that point not to bother with it.

Besides, if we were all so apathetic about these type things, we wouldn't be able to raise our post counts by belittling other dvdtalkers...

The deal being dead is probably a good thing. They might actually honor those who got in on time. It lasted less than 12 hours or so, so you may get lucky.

Why would you ignore a deal based on the source of the deal?

Oh, I get it, you're one of those post counters. Dumb things matter to you.

Yeah, I might be more inclined to "ignore" or pass up a deal if I knew it had already made it's rounds on a huge and notoriously irresponsible deal community like FW. Then again, I might not.

I was being facetious about the posts, thats what the means... get it?

The item is not even listed at the big O now. They must have taken it down given the thousands of orders coming in the past 12 hours or so.

I'm glad that I checked the forum this morning and ordered one.

For those who doesn't know what this show is. It is a pretty damn good anime series that gets your brain a lot of workout. A good place to start getting info about the show is here. Btw, there is a live-action version of this show involving WETA workshop in the works (or will be soon).

I guess I shouldn't be too surprised, but I really can't believe people would order this w/o even knowing anything about the show. I picked up on this cause I know it's a good show and the price was too good to pass. But just because something is 75-90% off the retail price, doesn't mean I'll buy it. I guess there are many that will. Anyways, it's a pretty good blind buy if you're into this genre at all.

Price was so low, it was worth it taking a flyer on.

If I hate it, I can trade it in.

Log in and check your order status. Mine just changed to Street Fighter, Vol. 1 (FS/DVD) instead of the Evangelion set.

Mine says the same thing. They sure as hell better not ship that POS out to me.

mine says street fighter too. if they send phammy the wrong one, then they can pay to have it shipped back to them. otherwise, it will be refuted off the CC.

That bites!

I passed because it seemed to good to be true.

Don't be surprised if that is what you get.

Enjoy your Street Fighters!

Thank goodness I printed the original receipt this morning .. Can they really do that? I mean, change the product without informing you?

Well, it was only like, $8.xx or so. I ordered one just to have as my personal copy since I've been thinking about getting more into anime, after buying Appleseed and really enjoying it.

I can't believe I took the chance either though, still.

I'm calling Overstock right now to see what's up with this, and I'm on hold right now. I'll let everyone know what they say.

Overstock has the absolute worst customer service. Good luck getting them to change your order or take it back as a return. I figured they pull a stunt like that.
