I've never had a problem with Overstock, and they have honored several misprices in the past.

Thanks to the OP for this find - I'm in!

Good luck with that.

Thanks, Ocelot. Smokin' deal if it pans out.

It's worth a shot, it seems like a lot of you have gotten mis-prices from them. I'm in.

This will never go through, but I'll give it a shot... They did come through on Tomorrow People for me, and I never thought they would...

I've bought from Overstock before, I never had a problem.

Also, if anyone wants to sell any of these sets for a quick profit, it's a very very popular series. For $9 it's definitely worth to hold on to and check it out.

Screw this, as another posted here, customer service is quite weak. I'm not going through the hassle.

They also honored the $9.64 Joan of Arcadia set back in the day, so I think the chances are better thasn average of receiving the misprice.

Agreed!

For what it's worth, I also got in on this deal, assuming it ships.

A comparable show would be Rahxephon(hopefully you're familiar with this show). I feel that it's a great series, but some find the lead characters to be annoying and whiny. There is also a general feeling that the show has a weak wrapup, but there are alternate endings to the show that you can pick up(End of Evangelion).

EDIT: The deal has now been posted at FW. Here's hoping that nobody orders 500 sets.

Odd...I added it to my cart and before I even signed in, the price showed up as $6.63 with a coupon worth $6.63, so it only charged me shipping of $1.40. But I had $5 in credit for signing up for Overstock Auctions, so in the end, it was completely free.

Just grabbed two (one as a Christmas gift). Doubt this will happen, but worth a shot. Thanks, OP!

Thanks OP. Definitely worth a shot. In my experience they honor most pricing mistakes (sometimes even after they cancel the order, as with the Dickens set mentioned above). Don't go crazy and order 50 copies, though. I think they cancelled a PSP order on me, but I don't remember the details, and I'm obviously not too concerned (I may have cancelled it myself thinking it would never come through, I really don't remember). The only CS problem I ever had with them was with a mis-represented Hand Maid May box (I did an online chat with customer service before ordering to confirm that it was the complete set, and not just v1 with box. I asked if they were sure. I saved a log of the chat to use in case it was just v1+box. I guess I must have been fairly certain that it wasn't the full set, or I probably wouldn't have logged it. I ordered it anyway. It was just v1 with box. At the time, ADV was offering the complete set for just a few dollars more than what I paid for v1 + box. I contacted Overstock, asked for a return (or exchange, but they wouldn't bite on that), they told me they would send an RMA, which I never received. I didn't really pursue it, so I can't really complain much. I hate it when I see people post things like "Those @%$%#$ sent me the wrong item! I am never dealing with them again!!!". Mistakes happen, you have to give them a chance to make it right, and if you don't follow-up, you share in the blame. In other words, don't take this as a major gripe with Overstock, overall I am very pleased with them, and I will continue to order from them (when they have the best price, that is ). Wow, a parenthetical paragraph, pretty impressive. BTW, I am sure I don't need to state this, but since I mentioned contacting customer service in my parenthetical dissertation, I will mention that it would be a very bad idea to try the same in this instance. It is very clear from the description that this is the complete 7 volume set, and therefore, if they send something else (which I do not expect they will), the original description will be your record of the misrepresentation. Contacting CS before this deal dies of natural causes will only inspire the ire of fellow DVDTalkers (and probably some fatwalletters and ebay-whores, but it still isn't worth the risk).

I got Tomorrow People, so gave this one a shot.
If the price goes up, do they charge the higher price? If so, isn't that, like, illegal?

I have always had good luck with orders from overstock not to mention the mere thought of Sabine Ehrenfeld makes me drool. I gave it a shot if for no other reason than to see her holding that big O.
