Well after not getting anything at Movie Gallery because of the poor quality of the PV dvd's I went to Blockbuster and got the following (ALL in nice condition).....

- Spiderman 2 (2 disc) $12.00 Canadian
- Hellboy (2 disc) $9.99 Canadian
- Butterfly Effect $12.00

Total $40 "Canadian" TOTAL w/taxes (approx $13.33 per dvd each). This would be approximately $31.00 U.S. total. Not bad.

Our local Blockbuster has a get any 2 PV dvd's that are $16.99 or less (if my memory is correct) for $24.00.

I saw the Angels in America at my MG, but it was two seperate keepcases. Did you have to ask for the original case, or is that how it was on the shelf? Or am I misenterpretting your post?

I was going to buy Alien Vs. Predator at Movie Gallery, but after my research at IMDB and other places I found out that the movie was originally R-Rated and not PG-13, so I'm waiting for a new release someday.

I went by because I saw "Mean Creek" in the above post, and I've been wanting to see that for a while now. Unfortunately, they had a dismal selection at my location...so I ended up getting the following:

Redemption
In America
P.S.
Pauly Shore is Dead

Not bad, all things considered...but I picked up P.S. as a completely blind buy (I'd never even heard of it before picking up the case) because the selection was so horrid. Made me wish I hadn't already purchased Garden State, Super Size Me, et.al.

I got
AVP
The Grudge
King Arthur with cardboard slip
Shark Tale

Out the door for $24.98

I ask the girl at the counter about the sale and she says it starts tomorrow (Saturday). I said I got "an e-mail" about it and she checked in the book and said "My manager was wrong and can't wait to tell her!"

I love this sale but there is ALWAYS drama for me. They never have the signs, cashiers don't know about it etc. etc...

I went to look today and all I saw was one copy of The Notebook that I wanted. I had a free rental receipt for being part of the reel players club. You supposedly can use the free rental receipt for $3 off a previously viewed movie. The woman at the check said that it was only for a free rental. I knew I could use it for $3 off, but I didn't want to get into an argument so I put the dvd back on the shelf and left.

I bought the following dvds today.
Saw
The Grudge
Dodgeball
Cruel Intentions 3

for $21.18 (including tax in PA)

I'm glad I was able to hold off on renting the Grudge & Saw. I saw them in the theater & really enjoyed them. Now I own them for a little more than a rental. I hadn't bought Dodgeball before because at the time there weren't any other 9.99 titles that I was interested in. Yes, I got Cruel Intentions 3, because I like these cheesy Cruel Intentions "sequels". I'm planning on checking the other MG around here in a day or 2 & see if they have anything else I'd like. Thanks guys for letting me know that Saw was gonna be put out today.

So basically, "Saw" is the only new release that's been put out today for PVD?

The copies of saw at my local MG did not have the clear case and slip cover, instead it was in a white keepcase with a white cover and the artwork looked somewhat similar to the retail version of the dvd.
