The great thing about DV2 is it will save me from dropping a lot of money on the DDD sale. DV2's prices are equal or less to the majority of DDD's discounted prices, so I can wait.

I don't know if DV2 has the Joy of Giving Contest like the DVD club has, but I find out the deal by playing that game. Today's deal is American Pie Unrated.

As I already posted in this thread:

"Some of these are "deals of the day." You enter the contest once every day and they give you a special price on a dvd. Gladiator was $8.95 the day I posted but is now $17.99.
FYI: Normally prices do not fluctuate but these are considered "deals of the day"

The contest is the "joy of giving giveaway" at the bottom right of the screen. The other day I got "You've got mail" as the deal of the day for $5.95 now it os $8.24."

How fast is the shipping times?

I receive my orders about a week after shipping.

How long does it take to get them after you place the order?

This is what the website says the following which is the way my experiences have been:

"We usually ship the next business day and most orders are received within 1 week from ship date.

If you selected "expedited shipping", you should receive your order within 3 to 5 business days from ship date.

Backordered items ship as soon as they become available. We will notify you when an item is on backorder.

Shipment of orders that are not prepaid may be delayed or held if there is a previous unpaid balance.

Orders using a bank card will be processed as soon as bank authorization is received.

Ordered items that are in stock and which are not delayed due to bank card or open bill limitations will ship within the next business day as long as the order is placed before 5:00 PM EST

Business Days are Monday through Friday and exclude holidays.

When Expedited orders split ship due to unpaid balance or bank card limitations, only the first shipment will use the upgraded ship method. If subsequent items within that order are later released for shipment, standard shipping will be used. Upgraded shipping charges will not apply to any subsequent shipments.

Expedited shipping charges are not refundable."

You know, thanks to DV2, I have spent way less on this DDD sale than I anticipated.

For Example: It was cheaper to buy Aqua Teen Hunger Force Volume three from DV2 than DDD even with the 20%.

Same here, and there is no hurry to order from dv2.

On items that both sites carry most are cheaper every day at dv2 then at ddd during the sale. If the ddd price is cheaper, it is usually only by a few cents.

Is there any way that you can open your choice up to any of CH's normal enrollment titles, or do you have to choose your 2 titles from their list of 100 or so presented on this page?

Deal is not so hot.

I think its actually the 2-disc version. The pic is of the 2-disc version and the description says its the "2-disc edition..."

So, if it is the 2-disc version. $7.95 is actually a pretty good deal since most places sell it for $14.99.

Weired thing is that after I play the Giving Giveaway Game to get the deal, it says the price is $5.95. But when I click on the title, it shows the price is $8.22. I hope they can fix the problem soon.

It shows up as $5.95 for me.

I was just sifting through old emails and noticed in my introductory email to DV2 it says "40% off and Free Shipping" right underneath it says it expires in March '05! This can't be true! I didn't sign up for a limited discount.

I'm not aware of this expiration, but it's a common practice for companies to put sunset provisions in offers and then reassess whether to continue the offer at a later date. I'd be very surprised if CH didn't continue DV2 under identical terms and conditions if and when the present terms and conditions expire.
