I had some things they wouldn't accept either. It might be good to search for it on their website to see if it will be in their database.

Anyone know when this ends? The manager at my store couldn't even tell me for sure.

Anyone know how much BBV gives in store credit for tv shows like Roswell and Angel season one? I ordered them from Amazon on blind buy and might trade them in if I don't like them.

You can always go into the store and check, but I'd venture a guess and say you'd be much better off on eBay.

Considering the new Star Wars Box Set only nets you around 25 bucks, i'd say its around there.

It's not actually listed on their "hot sheet", but 24 and Alias are $20 so that would be a good guess.

I'm extremely disappointed that I didn't know about this deal before yesterday. I just traded in around 30 DVDs at FYE towards an Xbox and still had to pay about $40 on top of it. Sounds like I could've had enough for the system and quite a bit left afterwards!

Will they accept a DVD disc only in a paper sleeve?

The first post of this thread states, "starting October 3rd till November 11th." Does anyone have an official end date?

This may be a good time for me to get rid of a few movies that I know I will be double dipping with future releases like Heat and Batman.

The flyer at Blockbuster says the promotion ends Nov 1. Which makes sense, since people here have noted that Blockbuster promotions end on Mondays and new ones start Tuesdays.

at my store you defintitely wouldn't be able to.

The DVD needs to be in their system, it has to have a case and a UPC.

Severe YMMV. I called like 13 different Blockbusers..none of them could order me a console.

they flyer says 11/1/04. However, that just might be when the stated prices on the flyer expire.

Anyone know if they'll take seasonal DVDs? I have a couple of crapola Christmas DVDs DVDs I'd like to get rid of (e.g. Jim Carrey's Grinch!)

I just called my local Blockbuster in WV and the manager stated they were briefed on this promotion at their last meeting, but they are not participating yet. He did not know when they would start participating either.

I had a sealed copy of Grinch I wanted to get rid of and the first Blockbuster didn't have it in their system, however I went to another one and they did accept it without a problem. So you definitely have a chance.

Anyone consider selling their Amazon $14.99 Season 1 DVDs to Blockbuster for the advertised $20?

I would rather sell my $3-4 pawn shop dvds for $8 - more return on investment. Even the $5 ones are better, and I can buy those all day long.

.... so then you can use that $20 credit to buy a $20 DVD at Blockbuster that you could have bought on line for less than $14.99.

A little financial planning advice is needed ....

No problems trading in my copy of Grinch. Seasonal DVD's aren't a problem... like others have said, it depends on things like having a UPC and being Region 1.

Yeah no shit! I just found out Saturday!

I felt like a little school girl walking out of Blockbuster with all this credit for crap I'd never watch again. AND I was finally able to get rid of that damn Blair With Project! Nobody wanted this title. The only place that would take it offered me like .50! Got 8 bucks for it! w00t!
