Got a call today to pick up my copies of SCTV Season 1 & 2. I ordered the sets back on 10/25 and pre-paid all but $2 ($1 for each set). I told the guy on the phone I would be over in a few minutes.

I walked in and the CSR remembered me from when I ordered it last week and said here you go. I handed him my receipt I paid the $2.16 balance (tax on the $2) using a free $5 Gift Card I got the other day and was out the door in 5 minutes.

Happy Happy

Thanks to calhoun07 for this great deal...

I am still waiting for my BBV to produce both on SCTV2 and LT2. They keep claiming delays in getting it from their distributor, and claiming another week or so and it should be here. Bastards.

Ditto. Every week I call and every week they tell me that they'll have it in just one more week.

I do not understand. I have received and watched both box sets of SCTV from Blockbuster. I found them to be professional. Am I just lucky?

You are relatively lucky, as a wild-ass guess based on posts to this forum, probably 25% of people buying at BBV run into some form of difficulty, with the extremes like Bill Needle and CrumpsBrother.

Thanks to the OP - picked up my Volume 2 yesterday, no hassles.

Best wishes for everyone else to get theirs ASAP.

I still don't know if I'll get hassled on the price, because they seem totally befuddled on how to actually get one to the store, despite the fact they say they ordered it.

Picked up Volume 2 on Monday and then got a call for Volume 1 last night. Both were for the low price.

Unfortunately, didnt have the same luck with Looney Tunes Volume 2 -- that now showed up at $59.99. Well, 2 out of 3 isn't bad.

Thanks to the OP for the bargain!!!!

Yeah, I was going to pick that one up as well. Unfortunately, BBV changed THEIR $ to the $59.99 price - the MSRP is still listed @ the lower price.

I got the exact same story from them, so I kept my $40 Amazon order and received LT2 earlier this week. I still have yet to hear from them about the SCTV2 set coming in despite paying for it in full back in August.

SCTV 2

Well I got the call from the second BBV for SCTV 2, it only twook 2 1/2 weeks to come in. Was a little nervous picking it up, but had no trouble.

popped it in last night and watched a bit of the first episode, the still alive Perry Como bit was a riot.

Even though I had to wait an extra two weeks because they never ordered it for me in the first place, I picked up my copy tonight with no problems. They had it waiting for me because I called in advance, I showed my receipt (paid in full), and walked out with the set. Thanks again to the OP. This was a great deal!

Picked mine up today after they called this weekend. No problems, he scanned the barcode and asked for $25.19. After a swipe of my GC I was out in five minutes.

Thanks to OP!!

I was at a Blockbuster on the other side of town tonight and asked the price. $23.99 I was told. So I placed a preorder but didn't put any money down.

If it doesn't show I'll go back and put up a stink at the first place where I payed in full.

Anyone know if SCTV Volume 2 is still only 23.99? I went to two different BBV in Vegas this week, and neither could find it in their system. Of course, I forgot to bring the product number with me. But I found it strange that they could find Volume 1, but not V2...

Just picked up my copy of SCTV Volume 2 tonight $23.99. It took about 4 weeks to get the darn thing. Also ordered Looney Tunes Golden Collection Volume 2. I was originally quoted $29.99 which I believe is the BlockBuster MSRP, but when it arrived, manager said it was $54.99. He thought that was odd. Only got SCTV Volume 2.

I also was finally able to pick up my SCTV set two nights ago. Took about 2 weeks or less for them to get it in stock.

Got mine last night. Paid in full at 23.99. No problems at all. Thanx to OP for the heads up. Now if only the pricing errors will continue with Vol 3...

They didn't let me put down a deposit initially, but I had no problems paying for Vol. 1 when it came in yesterday.

For some reason they didn't order Vol. 2 so I will probably have to wait another couple weeks for it. I just hope nothing changes in the meantime.

kenbenobi - I was able to place an order for this a few weeks ago in vegas for the 23.99. They haven't called to let me know it's in yet. They didn't on season one either and I had to go there and find it. I may go check today after work. I'll post back here if I find it's still that price.

As I posted on another thread, thanks to an inter-store transfer I finally got my Looney Tunes Golden Collection V2, but I still have not received my SCTV N90 C2. Neither I nor they have any idea why it's taking so long or how much longer it may be. I placed my order on or around September 10. They seem hopeful, and I am certain I will still only pay the $23.99 price, if only because they have actually started to pity me and my weekly disappointment at it not arriving.
