Well, mine is coming from Amazon via UPS and is scheduled to be delivered in the AM (i.e. before I awaken) so I'll sleep on the sofa and let the UPS man wake me up with Star Wars!

Seems like the best YMMV is to pricematch to CompUSA for $39.99 and then use BB's 20% coupon at your local BX/PX for $31.99 out the door.

Just left Meijers (a midwest grocery chain) and was pleasantly surprised to find it for $41.88. I don't know if this will be a chain-wide price.

K-mart is $39.99 . I don't have Fry's or CompUSA and Walmart was alot higher. For those of you in smaller towns, assuming your K-Mart hasn't closed down already thats probably the best deal you'll find.

Check your order again. Amazon must have heard us grumbling because mine was also shipped UPS and is scheduled for a Wed. delivery. Not bad for free shipping (but not the norm).

Just got back from Beast Buy and the magazine isn't a very impressive premium. If you can get this cheaper elsewhere, do so IMO. I only bought it today because my stupid Amazon order won't be in until t'row.

Best Buy was $42.99 here. I used the 20% off coupon from the Madden 2005 coupon book that was lying around by the video game section end cap in the store to get it for $36.45. I am REALLY shocked the cashier applied the coupon considering the expiration date on the coupon said 3/6/04 (it's a misprint). I was for-sure thinking they would turn me away on the coupon with that technicality. I got lucky (for once).

Cancelling my coconuts.com order since I don't find it fun cutting the box for the UPC. My order from there may have already shipped though (unfortunately).

Same here, except I was ready to argue up a storm if they gave me sh*t about the Madden coupon

I'm about to go attempt the purchase with this coupon. Out of curiosity, what argument would you have used? I mean, it states on the coupon that it's not good with other offers (e.g., sale prices). And the coupon is technically expired. I'm just searching for ammunition in case I'm denied.

Pick mine up at Wal Marty. It was priced at 42.87 and you get the option of purchasing 1 of the 3 the exclusive action figure sets. The manager was really strict about 1 af set per customer.

Need prices for Bolingbrook Illinois Best Buy & Wal-Mart

I won't be able to pick up Star Wars until Friday, and I am very busy this week.

IF anybody lives in the Bolingbrook Illinois area please post what the prices are for the Widescreen version for the following stores:

Wal-Mart on Route 53
Best Buy at Boughton and Veterans Parkway (across from Meijr's).

Thanks in advance.

Hey -

I'm new here. I scanned the posts but didn't see this. Sorry if it is a repeat. I went to the Wal Mart in Hammonton, NJ. (About 30-40 mins outside of Philly) They the had Star Wars tagged for around 47.99 but it rang up for 32.99. I thought it was a mistake. But when I went back and picked up a few more for friends it was still 32.99. Worth a shot if you are in the area.

I don't see the big deal about cutting out the UPC. It's on the bottom of the box, so you won't see it when sitting on the shelf. The outer box and the inner box are both black, so it won't really be noticeable when the box is closed. The packaging isn't that nice anyway, the outer box is thin and flimsy.

In another thread Best Buy somebody contacted Best Buy corporate and the date is a misprint, so I just told them to check the rest of the book and they didn't give me any trouble. Also, the coupon will work on the sale items, its in the computer that way. The cashier would have to physically not accept the coupon or override the computer for it not work.

People don't like to "damage" any part of it, regardless of whether you can't see it. It's like cutting off the edges of a painting to fit a frame. You can't see it so why should it matter? I'd rather just buy a new frame to fit it all

That's fine and all, but a while back someone had stated that they wouldn't be submitting the $15 rebate at all because it wasn't worth it to cut out the UPC. I think that is a bit much. I could see if it was just a difference of a few bucks.
