Re: Treasury Editions & Oversized Comic Books
My New Fun #1 arrived yesterday! It's beautiful and BIG - almost an inch larger than the others. I haven't removed the plastic wrap yet, so I can't comment on the contents. But I'm looking forward to reading it!

Mail call! Loved Treasuries back in their day, but somehow lost them over the years. I have no memory or when or how. Quite perplexing, since I tend to save everything. So I’ve been reacquiring them as I find them cheap, which is getting hard to do. Want them all obviously, at least the DC ones. Almost bought the House of Mystery one at my shop, but it’s one of the pricier ones and his was in great condition so way out of my $10 per desire. Searched ebay on a whim and found this 50 Treasury lot for less than $10 per book even after tax and shipping. It includes the pricey Muhammad Ali issue, both horror titles, and the three Rudolph ones I was missing. I have a lot of doubles now, so if any of you collect Treasuries let me know.

Sorry, just testing. It won’t let me upload the picture of my 50 treasury comics, error message about a missing security token, but maybe it’s too large?
used to say that reason in the past though. Hmmm

Wow, nice pricing on that lot. Earlier this summer I got a hankering for Bronze Age DC issues in general and have picked up a fair number of Treasury editions along the way. They do make comic book bags and boards explicitly sized for Treasuries. They are one of the cooler collectibles from that era of comics. The biggest issue for me is storing them, which is why I haven't gone whole hog and picked them all up.
If you had any Rudolph duplicates, I'm here.

The Rudolph ones were a priority for me, with my holiday obsession and all. This lot worked out perfectly, as I had two of the five Rudolph treasuries and this lot had three and it was the other three! I’ll let you all know of any doubles I end up with.

Re: Treasury Editions & Oversized Comic Books
I though we had a thread about this but couldn't find it. My decision to start one is because one of may favorite things about comic books are the treasury-sized ones. Even though the majority of them were released before my time, once I learned about them, I started collecting them. I have a pretty big collection of Treasury books but throughout the years I missed some releases and have learned of some obscure ones that are a little harder to track. Just this past month, DC released a treasury edition, (or Famous First Limited Collector's Edition like they call it) of their first comic book ever, New Fun Comics #1. At one point, this was supposed to be a Wal-Mart exclusive, but then it was supposed to be released at LCS and book stores, but with the pandemic, it seems that it was only released as of now through Amazon. This book is hardcover, like some of the Famous Firsts from the 70's and it's gorgeous.
There was a nice website called Treasury Comics that had a up to date listing of all the Treasury and oversized books released by every company but apparently that side died. There this other site that a good list (don't know if it's complete) up to 2018.
Treasury Comics: Oversized Comics Checklist with Scans
The listing of course is missing anything released over the past 2 years, including the 3 X-Men Grand Design Treasury Editions. Does anyone know of a site that has a complete listing?

They're also issuing Christmas with the Superheroes Treasury facsimile. I do enjoy the foil Treasury facsimiles.

Well, crap! I didn't recognize the cover so I looked it up. The original was number C-59 and came out in 1978, which was the year I was in the Air Force, stationed in Alaska - remote Alaska. No roads. 200 miles from the nearest KFC. So I didn't get it.
