I'm just waiting til March 25 when the 3rd TPB comes out so that I can order the 2nd and 3rd TPBs from IST. I'll begin getting the single issues beginning with #19.
I read #2 this week and am eager for #3. Whether I'll make the jump to floppies remains to be seen.

I just got done with Batman: Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?. Really good "final story" for Batman if you ask me. The artwork was really cool with throwbacks to some of the classic artists and the story was very well done. I thought this was a much more effective way of handling Batman's potential death with only two issues than Morrison's entire run on his RIP arc.

Stray Bullets Uber Alles edition. 41 issues of David Lapham awesomeness. Stray Bullets is like Love and Rockets meets Sin City meets Criminal. It is so good.

Captain America Winter Soldier Vol 1. I had thought more of the story was going to be collected in this volume, so I was kind of bummed when it ended and it felt like barely anything happened. Trying to decide how much I want to pay for Vol 2 since I got Vol 1 for only $3.99.

You want to skip those and just get the 3 Omnibus volumes of Bruebaker's Captain America run, of which Winter Soldier is a small part of. Not sure if they're still in print though.

I know some of you don't do digital, but all that Cap has been on sale digitally recently too.

I just read another Nepal book, Ghostopolis. Really enjoying letting the 10 year old in me come out and enjoy his stories.

No I don't. I really only pick up digital comics now, no room and not much interest in picking up large omnibus volumes, especially not for the price compared to how cheap the digital versions are on sale.

I know it's still not as cheap as digital, but if you find a good deal, Omnibus books come out to just under $2 per issue contained. Which isn't bad considering they're over-sized, no ads, use good paper, etc. And you can turn around and sell them for a decent profit after they've gone out of print, which I've done more than a few times. Try re-selling your digital comics.

But I do understand not wanting huge books on your shelf.

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you read?

Yeah, no interest in re-selling for profit anyway. And I prefer the convenience of reading them on my Kindle, often when I travel.

Just read Annihilation and Annihilation:Conquest. Never been into the Marvel cosmic universe, but these were entertaining. Any suggestions on what I should look at next if I enjoyed these?

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you read?

The Guardians book that came out as a result of Conquest is coming out in a new collection soon:

http://www.amazon.com/Guardians-Gala...+of+the+galaxy

If you like that, there's the current Guardians series out.

Also, the Nova series from around that time basically tied into all that as well.

The follow up to Conquest was, IIRC, War of Kings/Realm of Kings then Thanos Imperative. I think they didn't want to do another story with a gigantic galactic threat like the first two Annihilations, but I hadn't been following the X-men storyline so the whole Emperor Vulcan thing went over my head. I think it's still worth a read (especially if you like Darkhawk), but I think the cosmic stuff started petering out around that time. Then was Thanos Imperative, and then I stopped when they just threw all the major cosmic powerhouses together in a team called Annihilators. Then I think Abnett and Lanning left (and apparently are no longer working together).

I've also enjoyed the recent Nova series, which is about a young kid getting the Nova power.

On the DC side, Abnett and Lanning also did a good run on the Legion of Superheroes starting with Legion Lost, though I don't think that's as readily available.

Really enjoying the New GOG series... Never been a huge Bendis fan but I like this one a lot. Didnt really care for Infinity too much. Think Infinity Gauntlet is up next.

Just re-read the first HC of Morning Glories, since I recently picked up the second and didn't remember much of what had happened. Is this series still going strong?

The Muppets Omnibus by Roger Langridge. He captured Jim Henson's voice perfectly. Highly, highly recommended for anyone with fond memories of the Muppet Show, especially if you have kids.
