This.

If I hadn't wanted to go with a joke with Liefeld's Cap I would have gone with Power Girl since her boobs are all she is really known for. Her boobs are to her what talking to fish is to Aquaman.

Really? Barry Allen's death in CoIE was one of the most memorable deaths that I can think of. I considered using it as my answer, but I stopped reading right before he came back and I didn't know if that story was loved or not.

Barry Allen's return didn't make me mad. What did make me mad however is that Wally has been essentially sent off to limbo as a result.

Why Barry and Wally can't both co-exist is beyond me. Hal came back, and Kyle is still a prominent character. That' a little different though since there is a whole Green Lantern Corps with thousands of Green Lanterns. However, its not like Barry and Wally both had to be Flash. They could have given Wally a new name and costume, kind of like how Dick went from Robin to Nightwing.

Wow, surprised Jean Grey was that popular an answer. I only thought of Jason Todd or Bucky.

Re: Comic/Super-Hero Sheep NOW!

I clearly have no idea what's going on in comics any more (and my score reflects this). I had no idea Jason Todd was resurrected.

I was all marvel in the 80's I didn't read COIE until much later. SO i guess it didn't have the same effect on me...

I only put Jean Grey because, to me, she is the poster child for resurrected characters and figured she would be a popular answer with older/casual fans.

I expected Jason Todd to do better too. The whole Superboy Prime retcon punch is regarded as one of the worst resurrection stories ever, which is why I answered Jason.

My own personal most hated resurrection however is Aunt May. Her death in Amazing Spider-Man #400 was a great story, easily one of the best done death stories ever written. When they brought her back and said that the Aunt May who died was some genetic actress bullshit, that pissed me off so much that I literally dropped every Marvel title I was buying.

So I guess I shouldn't have switched from Superman to Jean Grey. Cost me two points.

You aren't missing much. Jason Todd was resurrected in Infinite Crisis in 2005-2006 (I forget the exact year). Basically Superboy Prime punched reality so hard that he brought Jason back to life. No, I am not kidding. It really was that stupid.

I'm going to challenge this one. I did a lot of searching, cause I was curious as to why there was so little information about her. It turns out (as best as I was able to find) that she only ever appeared once, in a novel and not a comic book.

The novel was Time's Arrow: The Future:

http://www.amazon.com/Times-Arrow-Fu.../dp/0425165000

Using the "Search Inside this book" feature, it appears that she was only ever referred to as "Dream" but the last name that she chose or uses is never mentioned within the book. That's why there's so much confusion in all the various Wiki's as to whether her name is Dream Summers, Dream Richards-Summers, or Dream Richards; because people are just guessing.

I'd argue that between the original source material being a novel, and that her last name is never given in the original source material, that the answer is wrong for this reverse sheep.

Re: Comic/Super-Hero Sheep NOW!

I chose Jean Grey because I remember her as the most annoying character in the 90s X-Men cartoon. I didn't want her to keep coming back.

I just read about it on Wikipedia. Sounds like this is the "right" answer. Ugh.

  • R:9. Name an X-man from either the future or an alternate timeline (other than the 616) who was a member of an X-team in contemporary 616 times. (being an X-man in their time doesn’t count)

I think what made it worse was how he first showed up in Hush (which was pretty cool), but it was revealed it was actually Clayface. Ok. Fine. But then DC decided they liked the idea too much so they started retconning what happened in Hush almost immediately, culminating in what happened in Infinite Crisis. If they had just decided to bring him back in Hush and went with the idea and not bothered with all of the fake outs and retcons, then it probably would have gone over much better.

The thing I find most amusing about Jason's resurrection is that on the back cover of the Death in the Family trade paperback, Denny O'Neil is quoted as saying "To bring Jason back would be a really sleazy stunt."

    Well he was right...
