Sounds like a Grant Morrison Cap. But Remender and JRJr is a solid team. As is Waid/Yu on Indestructible Hulk (if Yu can stay on the book), Remender/Cassaday on Uncanny Avengers (ditto on Cassaday), Bendis/Immonen on All New X-men, Fraction/Allred on FF, etc. I don't have much confidence that they'll stick with the new premises (so hey, let's wait for the trade), but at least the creative teams seem solid.

Who is ready for SUPERIOR Spider-Man?

The newly titled "Superior Spider-Man," helmed by Slott and the rotating art team of Stegman, Ramos and Camuncoli, will focus on a darker web-slinger than readers have ever seen.
The first story arc, entitled "Hero or Menace," will include alterations to the traditional Spidey costume, which reflect some of the hero's new abilities that will likely be revealed at the end of the year in "Amazing Spider-Man" #700. Stegman will serve as artist for the first three issues, followed by a rotation with Ramos and Camuncoli on subsequent arcs.
Slott further teased that there will be a shift in the status quo by the time "Superior Spider-Man" #1 hits and a change in Spider-Man's M.O.
"He's not going to be doing things the old Spider-Man way. There will be a new way of doing things," said Slott, who was coy about whether it's actually Peter Parker under the mask. "You've got to ask yourself, what does 'Superior Spider-Man' mean? Does this mean a Spider-Man with a greater power set? Or maybe he's moving to Michigan. Just set up shop next to Lake Superior."

How many damn relaunches has Marvel had over the last 10 years? Not neccessarily Spiderman..but Hulk,Thor,Captain America?Seems like they start with "first issue!",and than eventually, after a year or 2,we end up with a double sized issue #500 for 7 or 8 bucks.

Besides the New 52, Marvel has another obstacle to face:
My Little Pony #1 Sells Over 90,000 Copies
Wow. Just wow.
I understand that advance orders for the first issue of the My Little Pony comic from IDW, all of it’s covers (including the box set of six covers), have come in.
They total 90,100.
On current statistics that would put it selling better than Uncanny X-Men.
Obviously the All New X-Men relaunch will top that, but still. That’s an awful lot of ponies.
And I can hear two little voices across the pond saying “Daddy, can we have our My Little Pony comics?”
It will happen.

I wonder how many of those are to male fans...
Actually, these are preorders, which means a lot of comic stores are taking a risk on this. That's actually kinda surprising to me.

For the life of me, I will never understand this "Brony" subculture.

The cartoon is quite good (hey, I have a daughter, and you should see the other dreck that gets put out), but yeah, it's certainly taken a life of it's own.

Re: Marvel Relaunches In October With Marvel NOW
What I don't get about this is that it's a single #1 each month for a few months running. I haven't read Marvel, and I've heard AvX was a disaster. I'm intrigued by Uncanny Avengers, though, and I might pick up the Superior Spider-Man title. Slott annoyed the crap out of me on ASM, but I wonder if that was an aspect of the character of Peter Parker that he was playing up. Maybe another interpretation would be different; I don't know.
Anyway, it might be fun to see Spider-Man fans lose their collective minds if he does something outrageous on this title.
One thing I'm happy about, though, is that these should all be monthly titles. At $4 an issue twice a month, Marvel titles just weren't something I was willing to pick up. For each one of those titles, it was another title I couldn't pick up.

Have you seen the spoilers from Slott's interview?
Spoiler:
All three of those seem to be trolling old school Spidey fans, but maybe the book will be good and won't be ret-conned into oblivion in a year, who knows?

I am very, very glad I have no impulse to catch up with Marvel's current line of comics.

Spider-man is bitten by the Vampire Morbius and turns into a 1/2 good and 1/2 bad hero.
His Spider mutation causes his Vampire changes to be different, hence the "Spider Claws".
He is no longer Peter Parker, he becomes someone else after he is bitten, a "New Creation?".
Just a guess, but it could work...

Re: Marvel Relaunches In October With Marvel NOW
I added The Indestructible Hulk to my pull list. I usually wouldn't be interested in a Hulk title, but I'll give it a chance because of Mark Waid. Daredevil is the only Marvel title that I'm reading, and it's my favorite superhero book right now.
