Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Curiously the Sinestro sale omits part 3 of the Sinestro Corps War saga, Green Lantern Corps #14; and the text descriptions on Comixology do not match the actual order of Sinestro Corps War chronology indicated on cover images.

Green Lantern (2011) issues 13-20 are fragments of an overall crossover story arc.

The Injustice, Gods Among Us issues aren't actually on sale, are they? Aren't they always a buck?

I noticed that too; sneaky of Comixology to put them into the sales tier.

Did they do their standard 101 issues this time? Quick and cheap way to get up to that perhaps.

I'm thinking of a second account for all those digital series with a half off code someday.

Hmm, I'm iffy on this one. The Fox and Sabrina are the two I have a legitimate interest in (I've already read Afterlife). We'll see.

Is the Image bundle over?

There was some controversy when it was cancelled, since at the time it was their only female-lead book and written by a prominent female writer.

Heck, I bought it. I never read the series but I had heard decent things. And the minis are written by the guys who did the X-Force run X-23 was in.

I'm a sucker for Archie, but I have the Married Life and Afterlife TPBs (and really enjoy them), and the other stuff is readable but kind of throwaway for me. Every now and then I'll buy a digest and come to the same conclusion. Not familiar with Sonic (other than he's a VG character) or the Fox.

I was tempted by the Image bundle, but just continue to resist transitioning to digital. They would have just sat there till I had something to read them on.

Daken sale... eh. Tempted by Byrne's Next Men run, though I haven't read Next Men in a decade or so, I think.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Hey guys, sorry I missed posting the Marvel Monday sale yesterday. I was a little busy.

includes Eternal Warrior #1-8

Collections:
Eternal Warrior Vol 1:Sword of the Wild - $3.99
Eternal Warrior Vol 2: Eternal Emperor - $4.99
Unity Vol 1: To Kill A King - $3.99
Archer & Armstrong Vol 2: Wrath Of The Eternal Warrior - $4.99

99 cent issues
The Valiant #1
Eternal Warrior #1-8
Unity #1-4
Archer & Armstrong #5-9
Eternal Warrior: Days of Steel #1-2
Classic Valiant:
Eternal Warrior (1992-1996) #1-50
Eternal Warriors (1997-1998) #1-6
Eternal Warrior Yearbook #1
Eternal Warrior: Fist and Steel #1-2
Eternal Warrior: Wings (one-shot)

https://www.comixology.com/Eternal-W...Sale/page/5173

Also, if anyone is a Marvel Unlimited subscriber, their monthly deal for January is live. It's 50% off Axis #1-5

To redeem, you must go through the Marvel storefront (even though it's run by Comixology, the code will not work on Comixology's site), add the 5 issues to your cart, and then use the code MEMBERJAN.

It says this code will only work for subscribers, but if someone wants to test it out to make sure, go ahead and post your results here.

I don't think I've bought anything this year.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Weird, when I checked late last night they only had the first two issues of the new Eternal Warrior series on sale, and I was wondering why they were selling the collections but not the issues. They probably weren't finished putting up the sale...

Things are often wonky in those 2300-0100 hours; parts of sales lasting past 2300, things being on sale but the prices still being full, etc.

Yeah, I usually check the site right when the sales go up. Most of the time it's all good, but on occasion there's some hiccups (like that time I paid more than I should have for a bundle not realizing they hadn't dropped it yet. )

Plus, I've sort of been thinking about a huge purchase someday from a second account with one of those 50% off codes. But then I look at my backlog and just belay that thought.

I'm working on organizing my physical books a bit this week and wow, it's been a blast of fun. Need another million hours to get it done, but I'm making a bit of progress.

Oh, on this Eternal Warrior sale, don't forget that we already own much of it from the Valiant Humble Bundle.

There are a bunch of books being featured at Angouleme on sale, both English and French language versions of most of them:

^Similarly, Amazon has a few Angouleme titles for Kindle on sale. I'm a bit tempted by the 0.99 editions of Blake and Mortimer (which I already have a physical copy of), Lucky Luke (which I've been meaning to try), and Thorgal.

I figured you just meant digital comics, but it was worth the jawdrop anyway.

I'd love to dig into reorganizing some of my physical trades. I sorted them by publisher then by character a while back, but most of my new acquisitions haven't been incorporated into the system yet.
