Too bad the Howard the Duck Max mini isn't part of the sale. It's Steve Gerber's last time writing Howard.

Image should put Savage Dragon/Destroyer Duck up for sale real quick to showcase Howard's brief adventure as Leonard.

I was surprised that wasn't included, but I searched comixology and it looks like Marvel hasn't added it yet.
I guess that explains it. If it was on the site, it probably would've been part of the sale.

Superman Earth One Vols 1-2 are going to be $5.99 each next week on Comixology.

After getting Batman Earth 1 for $2.99, I don't know if $6 will entice me.

Today I downloaded the first 5 issues of Action Comics. Superman, Detective Comics (featuring Batman) and Batman. They are lots of fun. I am going to do about 5 a month over the rest of my life.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Marvel Monday is up, it's another Uncanny X-Men Sale
All issues are 99 cents ea.
Uncanny X-Men #322-371

https://www.comixology.com/Uncanny-X-Men-Sale/page/5310

As usual, this sale picks up right where the last one ended. At this point, I figure they're just working their way through the title's whole run.

---

Also, there is a mega sale on Bendis & Oemeng's Powers
Collections:
Vol 1: Who Killed Retro Girl? - $4.99
Vol 2: Roleplay - $3.99
Vol 3: Little Deaths - $4.99
Vol 4: Supergroup - $5.99
Vol 5: Anarchy - $3.99
Vol 6: The Sellouts - $5.99
Vol 7: Forever - $6.99
Vol 8: Legends - $5.99
Vol 9: Psychotic - $5.99
Vol 10: Cosmic - $5.99
Vol 11: Secret Identity - $5.99
Vol 12: The 25 Coolest Dead Superheroes of All Time - $6.99
Vol 13: Z - $3.99
Vol 14: Gods - $4.99
Bureau Vol 1: Undercover - $5.99
Bureau Vol 2: Icons - $5.99

Individual Issues, 99 cents ea:
Powers (Series One, 2000-2004) #1-37, Annual
Powers (Series Two, 2004-2008) #1-30, Annual
Powers (Series Three, 2009-2012) #1-11
Powers: Bureau #1-12

There is also bundle for $64.99 that includes the following:
Powers (Series One, 2000-2004) #1-37
Powers (Series Two, 2004-2008) #1-30
Powers (Series Three, 2009-2012) #1-11
This is the best value, but note that the bundle does not include the two annuals & the Bureau series. So if you want everything, you'll have to buy them separately, in addition to the bundle.

Ok, I bit on this era of Uncanny, mainly because I haven't read and re-read this era, and I liked Joe Mad. But now i wish I had gone ahead and bought the rest of the series in the other sales...

I also picked most of this Uncanny Xmen era; but it is mildly annoying the Magneto Rex miniseries, part of the Magneto War arc, is flatly not available digitally.

Also picked up Powers.

From Dynamite, ending 2/12/15, a sale on Bill Willingham's Legenderry, a mash-up of a bunch of their pulp characters. Strangely these two Spawn bundles are not only still available but now slightly cheaper at 87.99, ~65% off each, until 2/13/15.

On the one hand, such a deal for a lot of comics. On the other hand, it's still almost 200 bucks for Spawn (if Larsen did this for Savage Dragon, I'd be in in a heartbeat). Has spawn been any good? I think I dropped it soon after Capullo started.

But this is cheaper than 99c a piece... and I don't have to inanely hit a button 198 times... there was no bundle, right?

Watson and Holmes #6 is free on Comixology with code BLACKCOMICSMONTH

I can't say how consistently good Spawn is; but I did get the bundle for nostalgia sake. Ugggh... the generic seeming Haunt crossing over with Spawn doesn't look promising.

I'm also hoping for another Savage Dragon sale; I purchased the first 100 issues last sale and would love to cap it off.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

A big sale from Marvel on X-Factor, today only. Issues 200 thru the last issue, 262 (also includes 224.1). Is this all of Peter David's run? As much as I like Peter David's writing, i keep putting this one off. Time to jump on board I guess.
https://www.comixology.com/X-Factor-Sale/page/5397

A weekend Archie Valentine's Day sale. Looks like much of it is duplicated in the recent Humble Bundle.

This is more or less the second half of David's X-Factor run (1-50 and the Madrox mini preceded it, they jumped to 200 after issue 50) They did the first half a few months back.

Oh yeah, I thought my above comment sounded familiar. I think I bought in on that previous sale.

Why'd they skip to #200? Was it picking up the numbering of another title? Not that much comic numbering makes any sense.....

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

It was adding the numbering from the previous run of X-Factor. I think Marvel was just excited to have an issue 50 immediately followed by issue 200.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

The current X-factor sale completes the Peter David title with the [just] "X-factor" branding; but Peter David immediately picks up with an "All New X-factor" series that recently concluded with it's 20th issue. At a glance that team looks fairly different featuring Gambit, Danger, Polaris, Sunfire, Warlock, etc so I'm not sure how much of a continuation it is.

Not much. A corporation bought the X-Factor name from Jamie Madrox and founds its own team. Polaris and Quicksilver both had X-Factor ties, but other than that it stands mostly on its own.
