Today starts two week long sales from DC.
One is a new 52 Justice League collection sale. Ten different volume one collections are $5.99 each; the JL titles and some of the individual member volume ones.

Does anyone know where the first Animal Man New 52 annual falls in the reading order?

Amazon has a few Thor collections for $1.99, Thor: The Mighty Avenger (which is pretty great) and Thor: Season One.

Thanks! The other one was World Eaters iirc. Just bought them all, will probably forget that I have them on Kindle and buy them on Comixology next sale.

There was a list of all 100 on the Comixology screen when I bought it, but it isn't easy to find now. I did some googling, but no luck so far.
Two new sales today, in addition to the the last three still continuing.

From Marvel we get a one day sale on Ghost Rider.
The first parts of the Howard Mackie series from 1990 are included; this was volume 3 issues 1-20.
From the 2006+ series, volume 6, we get issues 1-35 (all?).
And from 2009 we get the six issue mini-series Ghost Riders: Heaven's on Fire.

The fifth currently active sale is website only, unknown duration, on Garth Ennis' Crossed.
70 different issues for 99 cents each. But even better is a bundle of the current 75 different issues for $74.99.
I guess this can't be advertised on the iOS app due to it's graphic nature and Apple's rules?

Yeah, crossed is website only. I think that's the case for most series Apple considers "Mature."

If I had known about their stance on "mature" apps, magazines, comics, etc., I would have never owned an Apple product in the first place and I am glad I have moved on from them.
Unfortunately their rules affect Android to some extent due to some content providers don't want to deal with making two different apps or provide different content to both Apple and Android. See various Zinio magazines for examples of that.

Yeah, if you buy a mature book through the Comixology site, it shows up in your purchases in the app and you can download and read it there. It's kind of a pain, but if you want to avoid giving Apple extra money you should probably be buying books through the Comixology site anyway, since then Apple doesn't get a cut.

Maybe Comixology just shares their profit with Apple, and the publishers/creators get their money before any actual customer purchases are made?

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Not that I plan on using Comixology for buying comics, but I did download the Comixology app on my iPad and grabbed a handful of free issues just to test drive it.
Now, say I want to buy a 'forbidden' title like Crossed, how do I do that? Do I need to set up a new account on the Comixology website, and then somehow sync it with the one on my iPad that uses my AppleID?

It's simple and free to set up an account on their website, although perhaps you need to give them a credit card for possible purchases.

You can use Paypal for purchases through the Comixology site, so I don't think you need to give them a CC.
