Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

The American Vampire and Fear Itself sales continue today. But the 8 freebies from yesterday, and apparently 8 more coming today are the big news. These are limited time to input codes, website redemption only; enter yesterday's 8 codes by today.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

No new mainline sales or freebies today. There appear to have only been 7 sxsw freebies yesterday, and I'm not sure if they'll continue with more today.

They also have a weekend offer of their Comixology Submit top 100 books bundle for only $10, a 97% savings off the regular price. Offer ends tomorrow night.

I'm sure you're all on top of these Comixology freebies and 100 book $10 deal, but I figured I'd make one more bump to make sure. Some really good books, and a huge amount of free content available.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

At first I thought you guys were losing your minds or something, until I saw the post with the link. Too bad I missed out on some already, but thanks for posting!

This is kind of a casualty of me being subscribed to Marvel Unlimited, but I'd have grabbed those Arena/Academy issues in a heartbeat if most of them weren't already on that program. I've said it before, but man a subscription service with a usable interface is great.

I'll also say this about Arena; I wrote it off early on as a Hunger Games/Battle Royale rip off, and it kinda is, but they do enough with the characters and the concept that it's interesting enough. No idea how it ends yet, though.

I really don't mind digital comics but I still have a hard time paying good money for them.

Looking into that deal I see that they now have 13 different bundles from various publishers on their home page. They few I've looked at have savings of around 45%.

Edit to add: Looking closer a few of them have much smaller discounts.

I'm jealous, but am so invested into iDevices that I'm just going to wait and hope for a bigger and better iPad.

This sale ends today, but if you're interested it's much better to buy it off their webpage in the bundle section. You get all 37 issues of the series for $30.

No new sales today, but a new A1 anthology freebie is up.
