Yeah, and John McEnroe seems to have settled down in his old age. Four decades he would have backhanded him.

Re: Comic Conventions

Next on the Con agenda is Wondercon at the end of March

After that I have Comic Con Revolution booked in May and I just got a ticket for Midsummer scream in August in Long Beach

I hope to get a ticket for Disney's D23, which is in August

Nostaligia Con in Anaheim was just announced and one of the guests I think I need to make the trip for is Tyler Hoechlin from Superman and Lois

https://www.thenostalgiacon.com/anaheim-guests2026

I'd love to get him to sign my Superman and Lois BD. Plus he would be the 3rd living actor I would meet to have played Clark/Superman

There are two other Cons that I am not 100% decided on due to time and money
Creep IE Con The Aftemath in the summer and also the next Hollywood show

I know, this seems like a lot. But, you know ever since I decided to do more and get out more with my life after my diagnosis, I have had a great time. Just enjoying getting out there and doing things I enjoy.

Genuinely curious as I don’t do autographs, so what does that mean? Pictures without her but still from her projects? Or can you just throw down an old 8x10 of your dog as long as you pay up? Do other celebs sign unrelated stuff? Or is this because of people giving her Elvis photos?

Re: Comic Conventions

I’m certain that’s for people who want her to sign Elvis pictures.

They recently announced Paul Dini for Planet Comic Con. I need to have him sign my Mad Love that is already signed by Bruce Timm.

I'd reckon it's the latter since her main claim to fame is having been married to Elvis Presley.

Depends on the celeb. I got Michael Dorn to sign a dollar bill that had a funny stamp on it at a con years ago. He looked at it, chuckled and said "Why not?" I've also seen videos of athletes getting handed memorabilia from their rival teams to sign as a joke, and it is usually 50/50 whether they actually sign it or not.

I'm just planning on getting Priscilla to sign a photo of her and her stuff beaver since she's not doing selfies. I do want to mention to her my ex-wife named our youngest daughter Lisa Marie. She was a big Elvis fan and had seen him in concert.

Re: Comic Conventions

Transformers Con is also in March here in Southern California.

I think 2 years ago, Peter Cullen and Frank Welker were guests and their autographs and photo ops completely sold out.

The Transformers voice actor list showing up this year hasn’t been confirmed yet. Other than Cullen and Welker, I don’t know any more voices from the show and there have been so many iterations.

If I were to go to that one, it would probably be only to shop a little.

https://www.tfconla.com/peter-cullen...s-angeles-2026

Okay, they just announced today that Peter Cullen will indeed be attending Transformers Con Los Angeles 2026 next month.

He will be signing. No details on photo ops and apparently it's only for weekend pass holders. The weekend pass for that event is $65 plus fees not counting Cullen's fee.

Man, this is really tempting and Cullen is a legend. I can probably only attend 1 day if I go and meeting him would be an ultimate nerd dream. And he's getting up there in age.

I have to assume Cullen's fee will be minimum $100.

Re: Comic Conventions

Transformers Con just announced that both Peter Cullen and Frank Welker are appearing at this convention. So yeah I’m going.

I have the 40th anniversary G1 replica of Prime that I got last year, so I’m going to try to get it signed. Not sure about Welker though. I have a Megatron toy that I got about 5 to 6 years ago, but it’s not G1. Maybe I will just go with a 8x10. I also have the old 1984 dvds as an option.

Supposedly tickets for the autographs go on sale this weekend. I’m 95% sure they will sell out. Both are super popular in the community and due to their ages, we don’t know how many more they will do of these.

Re: Comic Conventions

I would almost rather have an audio recording of those guys, something like an outgoing voicemail message or something, than an autograph. How cool would it be to have Optimus or Megatron doing your voicemail message? I assume they have done or currently do cameo offerings like that. Wonder if they would do something like that at a con.

Re: Comic Conventions

Success! I got them before they sold out.

I got a morning session autograph ticket for Peter Cullen and will have him sign my 40th anniversary Optimus Prime toy. That session sold out fast.

I also got an autograph ticket for Frank Welker. I have a Megatron toy at home (unopened) as I mentioned. But, I'm thinking about getting just an 8x10 instead

I also got the dual photo op session with Cullen and Welker (sold out)

I had to purchase a weekend pass to qualify for these ops, so I will attend a 2nd day and try to get into Cullen and Welker's Sunday Q&A session that is only for weekend pass holders

and I got a 2nd autograph ticket for Cullen on Sunday and will probably just have him sign an 8x10 to me

So yeah I'm pretty excited for this. Now I need to save some money to actually shop a little at this con.

Re: Comic Conventions

I just checked the Transformers Con site. All 4 autograph sessions with Peter Cullen are sold out. All his photo op sessions including the ones witn Frank Welker also sold out. The only ones left are Frank Welker along with his photo op sessions. It just shows how incredibly popular Cullen is in the Transformers fan community. I mean who knows if he will even voice Optimus Prime again? Rise of the Beasts could very well be his last work as Prime.

The next Hollywood Show is May 29 and 30

They have already started announcing some guests that I am very interested in

https://www.hollywoodshow.com/default/celebrities/

Barbara Crampton
Mitzi Kapture
Nia Peeples
Reginald VelJohnson

It's still 3 months away, so they could add even more.

I'm especially excited about Crampton. She's still really attractive for being in her 60s now and she rarely does Cons in California.

Ever since they found out Cullen did the Predator vocalizations his profile shot up even more -- that's only been within the last 10 years or so, too.

Jeffrey Combs is here next month for Planet Comic-con. Too bad they didn't get Barbara to join him.

Re: Comic Conventions

I'm going to Comic Con Revolution in May and they made some more guest announcements

David Ramsey and Caity Lotz from the Arrowverse

and a few weeks ago Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Greene and Ian Ziering from 90210

and that's in addition to the cast of Battlestar Galactica, which includes Sackhoff, Park, Helfer and Olmos

I've never been able to get a ticket to SDCC, but all these other cons more than fill the void.

I'd almost say it's better to stick to the smaller cons. Back in the 90s I had a $300 autograph budget. I'd dread to think how much I would need nowadays. Plus the cost to attend the whole 5 days.

My roommate in San Diego got his press credentials when tickets to SDCC were starting to be tough to get.

Re: Comic Conventions

The Hollywood Show in Burbank just announced a TJ Hooker cast reunion.

Bill Shatner, Heather Locklear and Adrian Zmed.

I did a photo op with Shatner in 2022, but it wasn’t great because of the plastic barrier due Covid. I’ve wanted a redo and I’m probably going to do this. I also have a TJ Hooker DVD set that I may get signed by them.

Re: Comic Conventions

Transformers Con is going to be crazy in a few weeks. After Cullen's autographs and photo ops sold out fast a few weeks ago, they gave in to the high demand and opened up some more autograph slots. But, only for those who didn't get it a few weeks ago.

Sold out super quick today. Man. Cullen's wrist is going to be so tired. I hope these people who got autographs are at least kind and respectful when they meet him and not treat him like some kind of factory machine. And I'm sure some of these folks who turn around and try to sell off it for a quick profit since he doesn't do these very often.

Re: Comic Conventions

Back from Transformers Con. It was a mad house.

Here is my haul. Got Cullen and Welker’s autographs to start out. Yes it’s a little weird that Welker signed my Prime Toy. But, they did not provide any 8x10s for either. Not the worst thing.

I did a photo op with both of them. But that will be posted after the Con. No physical copies.

Here is my haul.

And I got this original artist print from a Deacon Shaw

Re: Comic Conventions

So I'm going back again tomorrow to get one more autograph from Cullen. Since they have no 8x10s around, I am trying to decide what I should have him sign.

Here is what I am thinking

1. Transformers the movie blu-ray
or
2. Transformers season 1 from 1984
or
3. I have a Japanese version of Prime toy that I got from Tokyo that I got about 15 years ago. It's kind of bulky and I have it in my garage in storage. So it's not ideal as I have no room in the house to display it;

Peter was very nice in my two interactions with him. Smiled, said hello and shook my hand. His handlers wanted to keep interactions and chit chat to a minimum because they didn't want to fall behind schedule/.

Re: Comic Conventions

Alright going back to TF Con today.

I decided to have Cullen sign my Transformers 1984 season 1 DVD set. It has a nice metallic looking cover with the show logo. I'll probably have him sign it in red. He signed my toy yesterday in Yellow. Seems appropriate for me as a fan since that's how I got into the IP from the cartoon.

I'll report back later on today.
