Re: Comic Conventions

I believe I have the line up for autographs at Planet Comic-Con. I'll be attending Mar 17th.

Priscilla Presley, Maggie Grace, Jeffrey Combs, Kimiko Glenn (Orange is the New Black). I will see how my time goes, I might add Keith David.

I was thinking of Sean Astin but he didn't have a special autograph\selfie price. $100 autograph and $100 selfie. Everybody else was $340 total.

I'd like to get Elijah Wood to be my 3rd signature on my Sin City DVD but he won't be there on Friday.

From this past Saturday at Transformer Con 2026. Frank Welker and Peter Cullen. Megatron and Optimus Prime. Both were great. They said hello and shook hands with everyone.

Re: Comic Conventions

Comic Con Revolution in May made more announcements this past week

Grant Gustan, Danielle Panabaker and John Wesley Shipp were added as guests.

Oh my goodness. I need to save up more now.

We now have the Battlestar Galactica cast, the cast of 90210, some from the Arrowverse and now some cast members from The Flash.

My sister is actually joining me as she wants to meet the cast of 90210. No Jason Priestley or Tori Spelling yet.

What do you do with all of your autographed items? Do you have multiple displays or something?

Re: Comic Conventions

So today I pulled the trigger and pre-ordered by photo ops and autographs from Comic Con Revolution next month.

Photo,Ops
Grant Gustin
Danielle Panabaker
Grace Park
Edward James Olmos
doing a shared photo op with my sister with the cast of the original Beverly Hills 90210

Autographs
Olmos
Gustin
Panabaker
Park
Jennie Garth from 90210

Yes, this a lot. I am debating whether or not I want to do a photo op with Katee Sackhoff and or John Wesley Shipp.

But, I'm really psyched. Great group of guests. There are several more Arrowverse actors like David Ramsay, Katie Cassidy and Caity Lotz, but I'm pretty tapped out. Very tapped out now.

I'm just having Gustin and Panabaker sign 8x10s.

and I opted for only 1 autograph with one of the cast of 90210, Of course I had to go with Garth/Kelly Taylor. That was a no brainer.

Re: Comic Conventions

Fan Expo San Francisco, which was the biggest pop culture and comic con in the Bay Area will not be back in 2026

San Francisco continues it's decline.

To our San Francisco Community,

Thank you.

For the past five years, you’ve made FAN EXPO at the Moscone Center something truly special. From incredible cosplay to unforgettable fan moments, this community has been the heart of it all.

As we looked ahead, we weren’t able to secure dates that meet the experience we’re committed to delivering. Because of that, we’ve made the difficult decision not to move forward with FAN EXPO San Francisco.

This isn’t goodbye to the fandom, it’s a shift. While we’ll miss gathering in San Francisco, we’ll continue celebrating with fans across our events. If you’ve ever thought about experiencing another event with an awesome group of fans, we’d love to see you.
Thank you for everything you’ve brought to this community.

We hope to see you again soon.
The FAN EXPO Team

It is so sad to see what San Francisco has become in the last few years.

Re: Comic Conventions

I like GalaxyCon at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center (an alternative option for people who will miss Fan Expo SF). That venue is top tier.

I was considering going to Fandom Con last week (also at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, sort of...), but opted for Vacaville Comic Con (really small, local con). I made the right choice. Search Fandom Con on Youtube or Instagram. People compared it to that Willy Wonka Con in Glaslow

Re: Comic Conventions

Comic Con Revolution is in 2 weeks. I made one last splurge. Booked 2 photo ops with:

Tricia Helfer
Katee Sackhoff

I met Tricia 9 years ago at a different con and I did take a photo with her, but it was with my phone. I want to get a high quality photo with her. And yes, she's smoking hot.

And I've always liked Katee from BSG, Longmire and now The Mandalorian.

Probably one of the few 24 actors I would probably pass on for an autograph. Didn't like her 24 character. I do like her on The Mandalorian though.

Re: Comic Conventions

If I was getting a scribble from Katee, it would be on something BSG-related.

Not a fan of her character in Star Wars, but it comes down to the way Star Wars made the Mandalorians dull as dirt, and not her specifically.

Re: Comic Conventions

^ Great to see kinda-Canadian Grace Park in the mix. She hasn’t been in anything for nearly three years so I’ve been wondering if she retired or just took an extended break. I suppose at this point she’s got enough key shows in her cv that she could just take it easy and do the convention circuit for a while.

Re: Comic Conventions

I still feel Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim got shafted on their Hawaii 5-0 contract renewals (not giving them equal pay to Alex O'Loughlin and Scott Caan). By the time of the renewals, both Park and Kim had equal or more screen time than O'Loughlin and Caan, thus I believe should receive equal pay. For some seasons, Caan didn't even appear in a whole episode!

I asked Grace about her experience on 5-O and she was pretty candid and said it was some of her unhappiest times as an actor. The pay dispute was probably one of the reasons. And she said after season 7, she was done.

oh dang, I would have expected her to be PC and just say it was great. Nice to hear the truth.

Re: Comic Conventions

Going to the Hollywood Show next Friday. I have a few guests I have my sights on.

Heather Locklear: The Queen of 90s primetime TV

Nia Peepled: Been a fan for years including Fame, North Shore and Walker Texas Ranger.

Reginald VelJohnson; Yup Carl Winslow and Officer Al Powell from Die Hard.

maybe Heather Thomas.

It would be funny to get Heather Locklear and Heather Thomas in a photo together. I got the both of them confused all through childhood. I probably still get them confused to this day.

Re: Comic Conventions

Back from, The Hollywood Show in Burbank, CA. Took me about an hour to get there in Friday traffic. I was surprised how friendly and approachable Heather was. She was really nice when I asked her a few questions about her career.

Reginald was cool. I asked him about Die Hard and if he really talked to Bruce Willis on the walkie talkies and he said he did. That wasn’t edited together.

Nia Peeples has been a favorite of mine since Fame. She was married at one point to Howard Hewitt from Shalamar.

Here are my photos

Heather Locklear. She needs no introduction.

Dude...run from Nia! She's a cyborg!

Wallpaper ID: 644600 / industry, Arnold Schwarzenegger, auto post ...

Did you ask Heather Locklear what she thought of Lee Majors in The Fall Guy?

Nia had an eye issue that led to permanent scarring in her eye.

And Heather Thomas was a no-show.
