Re: B&N - 50% off Criterion Sale

I grabbed the Wong Kar Wai set today. I also received my replacement discs for all of my bronzed discs. I posted about it in the Criterion thread. Just a few more titles and that will be it for me. Probably stop somewhere around 30 for this sale.

Current Arrow sale started 2 weeks ago and will alos run through 11/28

The summer sales overlapped by 2 weeks, but both ran 4 weeks which was a bit different thatn recent sale which were simultaneous

Re: B&N - 50% off Criterion Sale

The only title I'm really interested in at this time is The Infernal Affairs trilogy.

I'll pick it up in a heartbeat for $50.

The only thing I'm really wanting is Wall*E, but if I go to a B&N and see something interesting it might find it's way home with me.

Something is weird on the B&N site, because all of the details on the page for the Infernal Affairs Trilogy are for Wong Kar-Wai's In the Mood for Love (director, cast, overview, reviews, etc).

The UPC is correct though.

I noticed you now need $40 in merchandise for free shipping if you are not a member.

Re: B&N - 50% off Criterion Sale

Amazon put the price of Wall*E at 24.99 so I pre-ordered from them. If I get to a B&N store soon I might look for anything else but there's nothing I'm dying to have.

Just reviewed Daddy Longlegs for this site. Fantastic movie, though deeply troubling. Makes me want to watch Frownland.

Re: B&N - 50% off Criterion Sale

I accidentally bought the Blu-ray of Salesman during last year's sale and in the sale two years ago, then I didn’t notice until the return window closed. I'd be glad to sell it to anyone at cost, just let me know. It was $20 plus shipping. It's a great documentary. If you want to see the real-life version of the door-to-door action these guys went through like Gil from The Simpsons, Recruiters from Mr. Show, or Shelley from Glengarry Glenross, this is it.

Re: B&N - 50% off Criterion Sale

Picked up The Infernal Affairs trilogy, but bought it off Amazon since they price matched and also had some rewards points and got it for $42.23. It just shipped today so it's coming tomorrow.

There is a B&N near me, but they charge an insane 10.25% sales tax, so it's way too expensive to visit the store. And I went with Amazon since they ship faster.
