Yep, these are some of the best CD deals Amazon has had in a long time. You just have to know that some newer CDs never go on sale and which ones count for the sale.

Amazon seems to be chooing to lose functionality in their search engine lately in general. Frustrating.

Because most of the sub catagories didn't work, & I'm not willing to go through thousands of titles (most of the ones I saw were mediocre & were at list price or more), I didn't find anything of interest.

I got Black Hawk Down. FINALLY, they have the extended version released (I never bought the BD version because they only did the theatrical, which pissed me off). I had the 3-DVD set, and I'm excited to see this in 4K. From what I've read, the 4K version is demo-worthy and has a really good presentation. Ridley Scott has generally been pretty good, future-proofing his movies for higher-res presentations.

The 4K version also has both documentaries, and I think everything was ported over from the DVD set. This is the first time any studio has done something proper, at least from what I can recall.

Also got Lone Survivor.

Some good contemporary war films.

Never thought I'd be excited about 4K releases, but I have been impressed by the ones I have so far. Have to be selective though, it's just too expensive.

The "Quick and the Dead"4k disc had been roughly 22.99 a week-or-two back and has been going down steadily about a dime at a time. A few hours back it dropped to 14.46. Right now it made it's first move back up to 14.52. If you're at all interested, this might be the time to strike.

^ Yeah, I picked it up used for about a $1 and some change lower than the amazon price a couple of days ago and everything was included -- it had been in my "saved for later" for quite a while.

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark 4K - 12.96

Scary's still there but Brawl has shot up. Brawl is the second disc in two hours to show up as a bargain on bluray.com (the other was "Fury Road" ) that was gone when I clicked it (and I check a lot ).

Philadelphia 4K - $11.70

Too bad Scary Stories sucked. That is a great price for a newish release.
