I highly recommend picking up Man In The Dark during this sale if you like vintage 3D. The 3D is really good in it and I also enjoyed the gangster storyline. It is currently $14.95.

In case anyone missed Mississippi Burning, it is currently being sold for the sale price on Twilight Time's website. Probably a good idea to buy it if you want it. The cart trick shows a little over 800 left.

re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals

Just a head's up to those wondering about the shipping status of their orders: I spoke with someone at SAE who was quite friendly, understanding and helpful—if I still had my own business I would hire him. He stated that they are working very hard to get all the orders from the 16th and 17th of November out the door by the end of business today. They should be receiving "Moby Dick" tomorrow and those will take precedence over the sale items. They operate with a very small staff, so getting these orders out the door during such a barrage is a huge under-taking. My only concern was getting the titles I ordered and was assured that we will receive what we ordered—it's just gonna take a bit of patience.

I got my order today (Wayward Bus, Sound and the Fury, Remains of the Day, Lost Horizon, Jane Eyre, In Like Flint). I put my order in during the first couple of hours of the sale. I did not get a shipping notice e-mail. --Peter

Assuming you created an account, you can check your order status on their website. My order shows it is shipped today and I have a tracking number using media mail. I did not get an e-mail telling me it shipped. And as soon as I typed this I got an e-mail telling me it shipped.

Any clue how many copies of "Moby Dick" are left? I saw something on Facebook from Twilight Time that the title was selling fast...but I've become wary of anything TT says over the past year... --Peter

re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals

Amazon has a listing for a 50th Anniversary release of Guess Who's Coming To Dinner being released on February 17, 2017. Still available from Twilight Time for under $15. Now I am wondering if other Columbia/Sony Pictures TT releases will find their way to a Sony release.

I believe Sony had also announced a new anniversary version of "Stand By Me" that never materialized. I purchased "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" via Twilight Time and it's a great disc. This release is an odd decision for Sony. Twilight Time caters to hard-core collectors of classic cinema and if they couldn't move 3000 copies, why on earth would Sony release it themselves?

re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals

Concerning "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" per the Twilight Time insider at the Home Theater Forum:

Our license has not expired -- Sony was put under a bit of internal political pressure to reissue the film for its 50th anniversary, and consulted with us regarding a solution. We mutually agreed to keep our release in print in conjunction with theirs, and as the conflict imposes on our 3 year window, Sony generously gave us some other titles as a quid pro quo. No sweat. Not a problem at all.

re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals

It will be interesting to see how the Sony release stacks up. I prefer the use of original one-sheet art, disc art and an actual insert about the film to put those tabs to work for something other than advertisements. You really can't go wrong with the Twilight Time disc. If there is something truly significant about the Sony disc (other than a cardboard slipcover), I will probably pick it up when it is in the "savestation" for pennies—and it's more than likely to happen rather quickly—slipcovers and all.

Not the first time it has happened. 'CHRISTINE' is another example
