Perfect! Great way to fill in a few items that weren't included in TT's recent sale and finally have everything I need from that label (so far, anyway).

re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals
Of course I am tempted because next to Criterion, I probably like Twilight Time as #2 on the "Boutique" titles list or #3 depending how I like Kino this week (their abandonment of subtitles on most of their releases lately are pretty frustrating). But I did partake in Twilight's last sale, 3 titles, and their shipping is a little more fair too. Despite this, I am curious enough to take a look.
Edit: It looks like the site is down, lovely...probably getting hammered at the moment.

Site works for me, and most prices are in effect. I see a few stragglers, but I'm sure it's just a matter of minutes.

re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals
Will those "Retail Price Point" titles be $19.95 or $9.95. If they are still $20 a piece, I'm not doing anything.
Meh. $20 per title. That's still a bit much for me. I might get one title, but not sure it's even worth it.

A lot more titles then when Twilight Time ran the last sale on their own website. The Woody Allen films are all on sale. So glad Screen Archive is having the sale.

re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals
After this order -- and factoring in all the prior sales -- I've officially cherry-picked everything I actually wanted from this company with the exception of that Thunderbolt & Lightfoot reissue, so hopefully that's included in the next sale, and hopefully they release more titles I'm actually interested in before then, otherwise it'll be a pretty tiny order.
EQUUS (1977) / IN FROM THE COLD: ... RICHARD BURTON (1988)
THE HAWAIIANS (1970)
SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHERIFF (1969) / SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GUNFIGHTER (1971)
MAJOR DUNDEE (1965)
THE BIG HEAT (1953 / ENCORE EDITION)
KHARTOUM (1966)
ALEXANDER THE GREAT (1956)
SOLOMON AND SHEBA (1959)

If you're using Google, try it incognito. Worked for me and I have no idea why. Best Buy's website does the same when searching for particular criteria.

Picked up Zardoz, Vampires, Thunderbirds, and 1984. I wouldn't have bothered at $30, because I don't like them enough, but $20 for a limited edition blu-ray? That's not bad.

re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals
As opposed to 12.50 at TT for 6 items or is it cheaper to your address assuming your main objection for waiting is the shipping cost? I guess it also depends on which titles if TT has them all and of course when the next sale might even show up -- ?? Christmas/BF or the next Anniversary sale.
There also appears to be a new option at SAE to choose Media Mail at the last checkout screen -- looks like $7 for 6 titles.
For me that may be a great option since MM from VA to NC is likely only an extra 24-+48 hrs as long as SAE packing remains stellar like in the past.

EDIT: Ended up ordering 12 titles - S/H was $11.75 by Media Mail

$240...and they charged you shipping.

re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals
Is there supposed to be any free S/H offer on a certain dollar amount ? their shipping page doesn't convey any such offer. It says 'USA: $4.91 for the first disc and $1.55 for each additional disc' :-(....This is what I truly hate about these boutique labels - notwithstanding their fancy pricing, you've gotta cough up for some outrageous shipping. Still, didn't find $11 bad as opposed to their first class s/h charge of $22 !!

re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals
Late following up on this, but that order that I posted here yesterday was already placed when I made the post. I had no trouble accessing the site, via Firefox, at any point yesterday. In fact, I'm surprised anyone did, since I can't imagine them getting overwhelmed they way they used to unless there's some ultra-hot pre-order up for grabs, and it's been a while since they had one of those. So the 'random browser' issue seems to make more sense, which was unfortunate if true. These sales being pretty much annual events surely means some folks hold off until the next one, as well. Besides, most of the titles currently available at SAE will probably still be in stock for the next sale!
EDIT: Just tried it again today (on Firefox) and everything works fine. Weird.
I realize that 'laidbacklarkin' actually went ahead and ordered from the looks of it, but it's worth noting for those considering waiting for a sale at the official Twilight Time site that quite a few of the titles still available at SAE are not listed on Twilight Time's site whatsoever. I don't know if this means they're out of print and SAE is just working through their available stock, but it's probably worth checking titles on both sites to make sure you don't lose out on something by holding off.

Finally got it working via Chrome as well. I decided on two and also went with the Media Mail option which was a lot more reasonable when it came to shipping. Got Crimes and Misdemeanors (since as of a few weeks ago it was down to under 500 copies) and The Other (which looks like my kind of thinking man type movie, not sure how I missed it in all of the other sales, a Jerry Goldsmith score too!)

From a recent post on SAE's Facebook page, for those who might be considering these titles:
Just a heads-up that included in the promotion at www.screenarchives.com starting today are all these low quantity titles:
FIRST MEN IN THE MOON
SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE
EXPERIMENT IN TERROR
THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO/THUNDERBIRD 6
IN LIKE FLINT
THE BLUE LAGOON
JUDGMENT AT NUREMBERG
CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS
MYSTERIOUS ISLAND (encore edition)
ZARDOZ
JOHN CARPENTER'S VAMPIRES
this could be the last -go-round for most of them, so...

re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals
Thanks. I did order Crimes and Misdemeanors. Zardoz and Vampires I picked up a while back so glad I don't have to worry about those. I swear, Sleepless and In Like Flint have been going sold out for a while now, they just can't quite get rid of them.
