Same thing I thought when I got the e-mail. Glad I bought all the TT titles I needed back when they were going OOB. Screen Archives is a rip.

Re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals

Not a deal post as such but was surprised to note announcement of two new TT releases (top 2 in the listing link below) - thought they went belly up and were only looking to liquidate existing inventory

Somebody bought their name and inventory. Unfortunately giallo isn't my thing.

Screen Archives bought all (or at least) most of the remaining inventory last July -- that was announced fairly early in the sale though.

They are working with at least one of the TT guys (Mike Finnegan) to put out some new discs
TT is releasing discs again -- smaller titles, smaller volume, different flavor of discs so far, no the isolated soundtracks like Classic TT and obviously missing the Nick and Julie commentaries
so really TT 2.0 is a completely different animal that Classic.
I think the latest discs are 3 and 4 of the new flavor

Here;s the original email from December
"December 15th - Screen Archives Entertainment is very grateful to Twilight Time co-founders Brian Jamieson and the late Nick Redman for allowing us to continue the Twilight Time brand with two new selections to be announced soon. Mike Finnegan and others who help Brian and Nick produce the Twilight Time blu-rays were a first-rate team. We have been fortunate to secure Mike's services to ensure we match the earlier titles quality. We have changed the final package only slightly, as many of you will recognize the outstanding graphics of designer Jim Titus. We have additional titles in various stages of production now, and hope to accelerate our release schedule in the future. Even though we started with the last release under Brian and Nick, the lead time for the production of each blu-ray is several months, made even slower under COVID. There are many complexities involved in acquiring the materials, licensing, checks, double-checks, and rechecks regarding quality before authoring and compression. And captioning. Finally, we had to find a provider to press the discs and print in the quantity that we are licensed to produce. Many of you have suggested titles, so feel free to send any suggestions, ideas, or comments to info@screenarchives. We won't respond to every message, but it will be useful to hear from you."

Re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals

I can't believe some of these titles are still hanging around all these years later. American Buffalo has been on "closeout" pricing for what feels like a decade. And it's a pretty good movie too!

Re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals

They don’t seem to be in any hurry to clearing them out. <rant>Shipping is still outrageous</rant>

Re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals

I still contend -- SAE sales would double or more if they added $1-2 to every disc and offered $4-5 flat rate shipping.
The bottom line price would be the same, but folks would accept it psychologically as a real sale.

Also a fairly big counterpoint to those people who swear up and down -- I'd pay $xx more for safe packing
