No blu for Silver Linings Playbook? That seems odd...

Ditto for the Pitch Perfect LD. Why not offer the Blu-Ray?

The Dark Knight Rises now live for 3.96 still about 50% unclaimed but I wouldn't wait if you want it

up next for me is Flight and then the waiting game begins for tomorrow's deals

It's times like this I wish I had Prime.

I just bought the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle set. I went back less than a minute later and it was 100% claimed. I figured the Heat or Silver Linings would have gone faster.

Anybody found Nikita S3 Blu or Persons of Interest S2 Blu anywhere in stock for $10? Walmart is sold out and had hoped Best Buy or Amazon would match.

I was on the waiting lists since I ordered The Heat first. I waited about 12 minutes and a message saying I had about 2 minutes to place it in my cart. So I did get to order it.

Oblivion went FAST too.. I anticipate both ZDT and Pacific Rim to be sold out in 10 minutes, if not sooner.

Kedrix 11-28-13 09:14 PM

Re: Amazon Countdown to BF Week - Lightning Deals Calendar

I was able to snag Oblivion. But then again it was the only thing that had interested me all day on there. Coupled it with Dishonored: GOTY on 360, and that's probably it for tonight.

I'm surprised they didn't update or at least place the deals front and center on the iPad/Phone apps. It's still business as usual (with just the basic LDs, bestsellers) while all the action is in the Black Friday section.Seems pretty stupid.

I had Revolution in my cart but it showed up at reg price. switched it to the lightning deal and it was sold out.

For Revolution S1 I couldn't get the &^%$ add to cart button to show up. I finally got on the wait list, as #228, but it lists my chances as "poor".

I hope it happens, this is the most wanted BF item left on my list.

I bought TBBT season 6 on the Lightning deal for $9.96. It says the estimated delivery time is 12/5-12/9

Once I get it, I will return the one I bought at Best Buy for $16.99

I was #67 on the waitlist and snagged a copy about 5 minutes later. Also got BBT Season 6 on Blu.

Not exactly a Blu-ray, but the Ex-Officio boxer briefs currently on the LD has numerous reviews saying that they're the best boxers ever, and to snag them if there was ever a price reduction. Had to get 'em with that high praise and advice. :D

I had it all ready to go on my smartphone, clicked Add to Cart as quickly as I could, and was #199 on the wait list. It didn't come through for me. :(

I was successful with Revolution S1 and TBBT S6, cuz I was home by the time those went up.

Congratulations. I haven't been on many wait lists, I'd assume that if it doesn't come through in the next few minutes it won't happen, but I don't know? TBBT is a good price, but I don't think that I have enough interest in those to buy them. They'll likely be available next year, if I change my mind.

The WM stores by me did NOT have any BD TV seasons in their displays. I was at 2 stores looking at the displays through the celophane before they unwrapped them at 6pm, then rushed to a 3rd store for the grand unveiling. NONE of the stores had one single BD TV season. I was PISSED! Thankfully I got Revolution and TBBT from Amazon, but am SOL on Person of Interest, Nikita, and Arrow. :(

A lot of people are thinking the $9.96 TV Blus never existed as an in store item for tonight. It was probably an error on the web site as they priced the DVDs identical to them. The DVDs were the ones featured and listed on sale in the ad.

They were listed on the website at $9.96 or whatever but each said they were sold out online.

My Revolution S1 Wait List converted a little over a minute after my last post. Thank goodness.

I hit the add to cart and it took over a minute of searching before putting it in my cart. And then as I was trying to check out in time it started giving me ad pages for Amazon Prime. Good grief. But I made it.

And here we…go!

I'm curious to see if Pacific Rim will sell out instantly once the deal starts. That would be some freaky shit.

Even though I was lucky to snag this at the Library a couple days ago, $6 was too good to pass up.
Am I the only one that remembers ten years ago, when the only thing you could ever get for $6 were public domain titles on DVD with horrible, blown out transfers from Alpha?
Despite all the kvetching that goes on, I'm constantly amazed at how cheap this stuff is now over the long haul.

BTW, I still haven't seen it (Pacifc Rim) yet.

twa2 11-29-13 12:55 AM

Re: Amazon Countdown to BF Week - Lightning Deals Calendar

Pacific Rim is showing at 95% right now. I ordered a copy and it said it was temporarily out of stock and would get to me after Christmas. I was okay with that since it's for me.

So you're saying if I bought PR this morning at $7.99 Amazon won't adjust the price to $6 even if it hasn't shipped?

No. The $6 price was a LD.

Girls season 2 on BD for $18.49.

Updated OP with 11/30 Lightning Deals

Note: Bond 50 with Skyfall is showing as a LD at 3:00am PST / 6:00am EST but it's not on the Deals Calendar. 11/30 DOTD, perhaps?

I ordered PR right away and just before I walked into a Target. They still had plenty of copies with a nice shiny lenticular slipcover:D, so I cancelled my order with Amazon. Hopefully my copy went to someone on the waiting list.
