Use code HOL13U for an extra 30% off.

Sounds like a nice deal, but coupon no workie (tried other in-stock items as well). Also, they charge $6.95 for shipping.

I haven't seen it mentioned: Mad Men Season 5 is $9.99 for the moment.

Never mind. Brian T posted it about 12 hours ago. My bad.

FYI, just noticed that bunch of those titles that were rock bottom from $3.96-$3.99 are now back up to $5.98. It's a random lot.

When I first read this, I mistakenly thought the price had gone up! I'm glad I double-checked and saw that it's just the 3D versions that are $14.99 while the 2D versions are still $7.99

Whew!

Then you don't really know that the US box is "far superior" to the UK box. I don't know if it is really is either, but I can say that I really like the UK box and I own it. I don't own the US version but I've seen and looked at it in stores and going by that I wouldn't say it's "far superior" to the UK but I can see why some people would prefer it. I really love the cover art on the UK better than the art on the US.

Your final comment sounded a bit off to me, "well . . ." Probably just how I interpretted it.

I have to say thanks to those posting deals for the heads up early, early this morning that the deals went live. I was doing a late one on the computer and was able to nab a few nice buys thanks to the posts here. I had almost gone to bed but took a last look here. Glad I did!

Lords of Salem is $9.98. If that went down to even $7.99 I'd get it.

Arrow was a Lightning deal at $9.96 and it's already gone.

I have to imagine it will disappear in a heartbeat at the Walmart's selling it tonight.

I've owned both. And I would say the U.S. is far superior, though not because of the cover art (or even the additional commentary).

Exactly.

As your bold text shows, I did not actually say price should "never" be an issue (that's from you). I simply acknowledged that it IS an issue for some shoppers, the implication being that, well . . . the cheaper set may therefore be the preferred option. In my case, after having had it for a while, I decided that it wasn't.

If your Walmart normally has it on the shelf (my didn't) go pick it up now. The prices are already marked down.

The Amazon locker is fully sanctioned and supported by Amazon. Only select locations have one. It's more for a convenience factor if I'm not home all day and would rather not have my stuff sitting outside my front door all day and night. I'd rather drive one mile away from my office, pick up my shit and then drive home.

It's not his own personal locker that he rents out to have things from Amazon sent to. It's a service Amazon now offers.

i actually had to look this up, never having heard of it before.

i prefer to pretend it is his personal locker and will one day become a rating level bestowed on membership here.

"you are a 'dvd platnum level', how quaint. i am an AMAZON LOCKER OWNER (maybe at 25000 posts?)

if i ever use one i will pretend it is a drop box for my james bondian/spliter cell-esque shopping adventures.

First time i've heard of this. I'm jealous. I have my Amazon shit get sent to the campus Post Office. I'd rather it stay there safe than have it come to my house when I'm not around. Just a 10 minute walk...so it's not bad.

I didn't look that far back, so as yours was the first mention I saw...thanks! That was the one I needed (as I got the first four for that price and am determined to not pay any more than that for the rest...)
