Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery (possibly 30 days for members though I've never tried)
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

But unless there's a new scan/new master of the first film, Fox won't get a cent of my money towards these collections. And just how many times have they repackaged these movies ? On last count, about 8 times - yet, with no work done on those aging DVD era scans.

That three-pack is DVD, not Blu-ray.

Probably not. Look closely at the artwork and the standalone version includes "three versions of the film". It's a double BD.

New low on Arrow's Herschel Gordon Lewis Feast box set: $112.23
Perhaps they're getting near the end of the run?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IWXJVN8/

Tempting, but I wouldn't be surprised if Arrow suddenly announces a more reasonably-packaged Blu-ray-only edition once this finally sells out.

Is it worth it ? am scaling back on fancy packaging and redundant content.

I like this from the bluray review

"This is the rare release where it's kind of hard to argue that any of the films are great (some may feel even my scores of 2.5 for some of these are too high, but I'm grading on the Ed Wood Curve), and one where the technical merits are often pretty problematic, and yet is still a release which is a treasure trove of arcana, including a glut of fantastic supplemental features. This release obviously won't be for everyone, but for those with tastes skewed toward the wacky and kind of wonderful world of Herschell Gordon Lewis...."

The UK set might be a better choice -- abotu $75 shipped. ArrowUK sale is coming up soon so I don't know if they'll have a deal on this set or not.
Much obliged, that was helpful

I doubt the presentation of the films -- love 'em or hate 'em -- will ever be better than it is here, and there are quite a few supplements supposedly exclusive to this box (along with the swag, of course). I've seen it in the shops here and it's literally the size of an average cereal box, so it would certainly be a shelf-hog. I suppose the plus side of getting it before it goes OOP is that you could always flip it (eventually?) for a profit if a more economical package comes out later. It doesn't include Lewis' entire output, but it certainly has the best-known titles. The "Shock and Gore" deluxe boxed set had better swag (if that's your thing) and a more scholarly hardcover book, but that one went pretty quick.

Unboxing:

I've got the Lewis boxset. I'm no longer all that interested in packaging, but I have to admit that this set made me feel like a giddy little boy as I went through it. It's easily one of my all-time favorite movie packages. The breakfast cereal theme runs through the entire release. It's a lot of fun.

That's an amazing package for some terrible movies! I'm kinda glad I'm not a fan, because money is fairly tight and I would not be able to resist that boxset.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Is the threshold for add-on item $5? I've been tracking a title that I wanted to purchase as a gift and whenever it fell below $5 it became an add-on item. When it went over $5 it was eligible for the usual Prime ordering. I finally picked it up for $5.21 with the usual free shipping (I always choose slow shipping since I'm never in a hurry and consider fast shipping a waste).

Just curious.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

^That seems to be the case for most media - DVD/BR/CD and video game purchases. It changed about the time they went back to a $25 minimum order for non-prime "free" shipping. I wish they'd just allow you to pay a minimal shipping charge rather than have to build a $25 order for such items. What I don't get is why does that $.21, to use your purchase as an example, make a difference? What's annoying is that if the Amazon prices triggers "add on" status it also applies to MP vendors "Fulfilled by Amazon" selections, even if their price is above that magic $5 price.

IMO, Amazon is going significantly downhill; but it doesn't seem to matter to Wall Street.

Interesting, I wasn't aware of some of those nuances. I didn't even realize that they had lowered the free shipping minimum back to $25 — since I have Prime I don't pay attention to it — although it makes sense to do so to keep up with competitors, such as Best Buy.

While Amazon may seem to be going "downhill" from our BD buying perspective (remember when they had lots of real deals rather than just matching prices?) they continue to expand sales and gain market share. Not giving away BDs/DVDs for below cost to serious bargain hunters, many of whom hang out here, likely helps with earnings. Not exactly the Wall Street idea of going downhill!

Shipping speed, noticeably yes. But CS ? No way...that's Amazon's winning card and its what buys them the tremendous customer loyalty

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

My last 2 orders required dealing with 3 cs reps on the older, & 2 on the newer; & promised follow up never occurred on either. We're likely talking at least an hour of my time on the phone with Amazon. Possible double billing & definite incorrect shipping dates (a month or more before shipping on in stock items.....) were the issues on both.

As much as I hate everything Walmart stands for, they are starting to get my business due to Amazon's declining quality. The in store pickup works fine, as I drive by their at least weekly anyways, & they & Amazon have been price matching lately each other lately. 10 minutes compared to 30 minutes or more or more for the same item & price.

I have always considered Walmart to be a spawn of the devil, but with many b&m's AND internet retailers going under we're running out of choices.

In the USA's "free markets" a lack of competitors sucks for consumers.

CS seems like it'd be highly based on individual experiences.

Wall Street cares a lot more about Amazon devices and storage systems than sales of dying media products.
