Just because Dollar Tree had them for a buck doesn't mean they are only worth a buck .. though I would hesitate to pay more than 3 bucks for one now ...

I'm waiting for the 50 movie pack with these to show up ... probably someday ...

A difference of, like, a buck? But granted that is a 12% bump, and we are talking about Trevor here. ;)

Closer to $2 and 25% actually!

Yeah, it's been on my "buy at $5" list since it was released but temporary impatience had me ready to bend to $8. You've talked my back to the inevitable $5 reality. ;)

What ever happened to those Buy More Save More type deals Amazon used to run? You'd think we'd be seeing some of those by now.

Is it even worth upgrading from the dvd? ;)

I bit on this one along with Mafia/Crew. The drop to $4.99 was too impressive to pass up. Recently, Mill Creek threw this on a 3 pack dvd with Color of Night/Playing God/DOA (remake). I got the chance to review it and while sound was craptastic, the one thing I took away from it is that they really needed to make a blu-ray for the first two (at the time DOA was already on blu). Also, the Color of Night was a director's cut and from what I could tell, it was unrated for sure (a ton of Jane March in the buff and yes Bruce Willis' johnson). But, its been a while since I saw it prior to seeing it again two months ago. I will take a look at it when I get it of course, but here is hoping that sound as well as picture is improved.

Mahalo for the heads up. Now I can get a price reduction on my order from Monday since it has not shipped out yet.

lizard 11-29-12 11:38 AM

The new deals sure have dried up lately, Amazon and the stores they price-match seem to be taking a break... Just as well, I suppose, since some of you have reported some surprisingly large purchases recently. I wouldn't want to be an enabler to an addiction!

Waiting... (Unrated and Raw) $6.93

Grown Ups $7.75

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer $8.01

Love Ranch $8.51

The Whistleblower $9.02

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire $9.29

Righteous Kill/Traitor $9.78

The Little Shop Of Horrors (1960) $9.86

Blaze, which I'd never seen before, was not as impressive, but this seemed to be a source issue and not the fault of the encode.

What a shame. I actually liked Blaze a lot. DVD Savant gave it a good review too. I guess it's unlikely to get a better release.

The technical/transfer sections of his reviews are uniformly and historically unreliable. I think he watches films on a 27" CRT. I do enjoy his discussion of the films, however.

Picked this one up. Have been mulling it for a few weeks, figured a bit lower than the previous prices was what I was hoping for.

Thanks for the tip.

I was talking about the film on dvd not the video/audio aspects.

This digibook contains the 2 Blu-ray discs from the Ultimate Collector's Edition set. On top of the theatrical and extended cut, it includes the third extended cut of the film with the original/alternate ending. Also includes a 30-minute Director's doc. This is on the first disc. The second Blu-ray disc is, I believe the exact same disc as the previous "Extended Cut" edition with all the special features from that edition.

Not a BD deal, but as there is no Amazon DVD deals thread I thought people might like to know the Pepe Le Pew Collection DVD is $3.99 at Amazon now. If it was mentioned somewhere else I missed it. My understanding is only 3 of his 17 shorts appear on the Looney Tunes 1-6 sets, so $3.99 seems OK to get the remaining ones:

FYI, the free 3 months of Amazon Mom+Prime is back.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/mom/signup/
When you click the link, underneath the diaper offer on the left, if you see "Try Amazon Mom + Prime, it's only $79/year." then you will NOT get the free 3 months. It clearly says "Try Amazon Mom for free for 3 months" if your account is qualified (which I believe means, has never had Amazon Mom before, but possibly ANY past free Prime offer would negate the deal). Don't sign up if you don't see that "free for 3 months" message underneath the baby in the diapers, or you will be charged $79!

I've read these words from you quite a number of times. You do know that you could start a thread for it yourself, don't you?
