Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Lightning Deals Calender - 2012 Ed.
If anyone is thinking about getting the BD for Magic City season 1 in the Lightning deal, get it at Best Buy instead. Best Buy has it for $14.99. I believe Amazon's Lightning deal is for $20.99
Plus, it's only an 8 episode season. The 420pm to 820pm PT Lightning deals actually suck IMO. The Vampire Diaries season 3 is the fucking DVD version. I would have done it in a heartbeat if it was the BD. |
Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Lightning Deals Calender - 2012 Ed.
Their lightning deal price for Lord of the Rings Extended has dropped to $39.99, presumably due to Best Buy having it for that price today.

Though I will wait and see if Amazon matches that price. |

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Lightning Deals Calender - 2012 Ed.
Is now a good time to get the Hitchcock set for $150, or do you think it will go lower?

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Lightning Deals Calender - 2012 Ed.

No one has invented time travel to the past yet, as far as we know. The sets don't go on sale until 11/24.
As for Amazon's leak, the next three weeks are the most critical time of the year for their sales and profitability. Every dollar someone spends at another retailer is a dollar they don't spend at Amazon. You can bet that Amazon's marketing team, which is obsessed with following viral social networks, is carefully crafting the public release of prices. Amazon did not become the world's biggest Internet retailer playing the game with its head in the sand. Here's the answer I was looking for: Indiana Jones set at $29.99 on 11/24 Bond 50 for $109.99 Gold Box on 11/24 |

Yeep! Vampire Diaries sure sold out fast! Luckily I checked on my phone app at a traffic light at 7:42 and saw it was already 89% claimed. Promptly pulled over and snagged it then. Close one.

In the fast-paced world of Black Friday deals, even for DVDs and Blu-rays, this forum doesn't get enough posts to stay on top of all the best deals. I would not be using DVDTalk as my primary Blu-ray deals site for Black Friday, if I were interested in staying on top of all the latest deals and rumors. |

I'll likely buy the Sherlock Holmes set as well - 14 remastered films plus extras for $34.99 sounds pretty damn good, even if I only watch them all once.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Lightning Deals Calender - 2012 Ed.
As I can't remember from last year, I figure I'd ask here. For the quickest snagging of a lightning deal, does one have to click the link on the lightning deal page or can you simply reload the product page at the time the lightning deal goes live?
|
Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Lightning Deals Calender - 2012 Ed.
last year you had to do it from the lightning deals page.
|
Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Lightning Deals Calender - 2012 Ed.
Yep. Either there or on the product's page. Either is a crap shoot if the product is popular, although the timer to complete the deal is ALOT quicker than last year. I believe you have three minutes.
